Flaget Memorial Hospital no wait ER??? more like you'll die waiting bardstown , Kentucky

We arrived at the er at Flaget in Bardstown at approximatly 5:30pm with my 5 yr old who was having a severe allergic reaction of some sort all over his body. We did not even get into a room until around 8pm and did not see the doctor until after 9pm. The doctor told us she just knew for sure that it was ringworm all over his body he needed meds but let her go double check. She NEVER came back and at 11pm after waiting for her to come back or for my son who is in distress still hours later to get some relief from meds.

I went to the nurses station where sat at least ten nurses laughing and having a great time. I told them please for the love of god give my child some medicine and let us go home. We have been here since 5:30, its now 11 my children need to eat and get to bed what are we waiting on? They all look at me as if I was totally out of line and said they will be to your room in a minute, they are busy. I said no we will stand here until we get the medicine we need to go. I had a nurse who's job is to calm, care and be helpful come to me inches from my face in front of my sick child and tell me I could not stand there I said yes I can and I will we will not go sit to be forgotten for one more minute.

As I stood at least two foot from the desk she told me she would make me move as if she was threatened or in a bar with no professinalism at all.I was in no way threatning, out of line or wrong. My child was in pain, hungary and tired. We fianlly got his meds after 11pm and his discharge papers which stated and I quote "It isn't possible to name your child's rash or say for certain what is causing it. You need to go to a doctor" really?? The doctor told us it was for sure ringworm and now know who knows??? And the doctor never came back to explain?

I have never been treated with such disrespect or care in my life. If there were 8 coded people there at that time, there is still no excuse to wait from 5pm to 11pm over a rash what happened to the no wait policy? I understand busy but this is totally absurd. And then to be approached as if the nurse was in a bar to start a fight really? We left more confused and upset then when we arrived. My child who was covered from head to toe with a profound rash wasn't even treated until 11pm wow way to go. Thank god it didnt close his airways because no one would have cared.

There was nothing urgent in a desk of 10 sitting nurses. I will pursue and rally and petition until this is solved. I can honestly say if I was bleeding to death and would rather take my chances and continue to drive to another town than I would think for a minute anyone in this ER would care or be of any help in anyway. I am totally shocked at how horribly this exprience was on my children, husband and myself. I will be contacting anyone and everyone on this matter. We would have been better treated, faster and told more in a vets office than this hospital and it is not acceptable!!!
