This is the worst rip-off one can imagine.

Flooring Depot LLC ( Joe Prizzi is the owner) is as follows.

On December 22nd, 2014, I contracted them to remove some tile and carpet from my condo and install tiles throughout the apartment.
The job was supposed to be finished before my departure on January 11th, 2015.

The total price was supposed to be $5825.usd plus applicable taxes which included the measurement of the apartment and removal of the existing tile and carpet. I gave him my credit card and he took a deposit of $2,000 ( he  entered my credit card on his computer system and made me sign the receipt) and the balance was supposed to be paid 1/3 before the start, 1/3 when the carpet was removed and 1/3 at the completion of the work and at my satisfaction.

The next day, he sent his specialist to measure the floor, he measured and sent Mr. Prizzi the details.

There was discrepancy with respect to the need for a permit and initially I was informed no permit was needed and then I informed myself with the city that a permit was in fact needed. I informed Mr. Prizzi. he needed to apply for a permit, he told me he would find the contractor with the right credentials since his current contractor does not have the credential to work in Pompano Beach.

I went back to Mr. Prizzi's store and since my tile floor did not have any baseboard, I asked him to install simple baseboards beleiveing he was still a credible merchant.

During the week of the 5th to the 9th of January 2015, the sub-contractor came in and removed the carpet and the broke and removed the tile. I was still being promised by Mr. Prizzi the work was going to get done before my departure on January 11th. This did not happen.

I kept in touch with Mr. prizzi when I got back and got all sort of promises. I received my credit card bill ( Visa) late January and noticed there was 2 additional charges one for $2000.00 dated December 29th, 2014 and one for $1025 dated January 9th 2015.

I immediately contacted him and he told me it was a mistake and would be corrected since the no tile or other work had been done. I made the payment to the credit card company and did not want to be penalized figuring It would be a "wash-out " once Mr. Prizzi applied the credit and would re-charge me.

In early February, I tried calling and e-mailing Mr. Prizzi several times. Since he was not answering I was getting concerned that nothing had been done in my apartment. I first called the credit card company and canceled the credit card.

I contested the 2 last charges ( $2000 and $1025) figuring that he did do some work and the $2000.00 initial deposit would cover the amount.

Mr. Prizzi called me and I told him put you offer in writing. He did and I told him this offer was not acceptable.

3 weeks later, I got a call from my credit card company advising me the merchant Mr. Prizzi was contesting the roll back of the charges. I got the information and proceeded to give them the proof.

His contention was that the contract was not refundable and that the removeal, tiling work had been completed. He produced false documents including sign credit card receipts and false delivery confirmation. I provided the credit card company all the information, including where the discrepancy's of his assertion where as well offered to give them pictures of the apartment, copies of the new offer from another company, the building permit application from the city and possibily affidavits with people who had seen my apartment had not been tiled.

Yesterday,  I got a call from the fraud department at my credit card company and they told me the credit card processor for the
store ( Flooring Depot) had refused our explanation and would reverse the charges.

This guys nows the system and milks it for all its worth...he is a rip-off.
