We purchased a brand new 2012 Forest River Work N Play 5th Wheel Trailer in August 2011.
When the trailer came in, it already had small items that needed to be fixed. Our dealership fixed them for us. Still we were not upset. HOWEVER things then continued to happen. Some major, some small. Some of the items were not being fixed because we were told Forest River was refusing to send in items needed.

Please remember we bought this trailer brand new. From August 5th- October (a three month span) the trailer had to go back
to the dealership at least 4 times. There were times that the trailer went back and they did quick fixes and never recorded them on paper.

Then in June my husband (normally my 8yr. old did this, luckily he was not around this day) went to pull down the garage door (which weighs close to 450 lbs) and it came CRASHING down.  My husband was knocked down by the door. The
wind was knocked out of him, but luckily he was not severely injured. We were told that when Forest River was notified about the incident, they never asked if anyone was hurt or ok. Instead they asked what my husband did to cause the
door to crash down. LATER we were notified that Forest River put the tumblers on backwards, which is what caused one cable to come sliding off a tumbler, and the other cable to come partially off.  Our dealership replaced the tumblers, but Forest
River still refused to replace the now bent door. They claim it is still to Their specifications. They did offer to bend the metal to fix it, but either way they cannot guarantee the weight capacity of the door anymore.

After this we obviously started getting upset with the company. Technically at this point our trailer has only been used a handful of times because it has been in Dylans lot, either being repaired or waiting for repairs. We purchased this trailer to be used for our childrens weekly races, however it feels as though Dylans has it more then us.

Then we continued to have more problems. Our shower tub continually leaked or cracked at the bottom. Our bathroom door would never stay shut while driving,  and the brakes went on the trailer while we were driving. They had to completely replace the brakes. (2nd time this trailer almost injured my family.)

Finally in July 2012 we were told by our dealership that they were going to send the trailer back to
Forest River, because of the amount of problems we were having. Items would be
fixed under warranty. So in November we drove our trailer to the dealership and
dropped it off, in hopes that everything would be fixed. No such luck. Things just continued to get worse.

(No phone calls or anything from Dylans or Forest River from November-January)

Then In January my husband calls the dealership and we were told Forest River refused to take the trailer back for repairs. If we wanted it to be looked at, we would have to drive it out to Indiana ourselves and would
be responsible for paying for the gas, tolls and any extras to get out there.  Then once there they were not guaranteeing
they would fix anything and we may have to pay. Not only that, but sometime in
November-January, while waiting to be picked up from Forest River our trailer
was hit by something at the dealership and had damage done to it. It was at
this point my husband and I just wanted to get rid of this LEMON.

In March my Husband received a phone call from the Manager in Indiana stating that they fixed the whole trailer and that they were sending it back to us. My husband told him we did not want it. The rep was very upset with this response. He told
my husband that he should be happy with the fact that they fixed everything even though our warranty was up in August. Well in July is when we made the Dealer aware of all the problems and they told us that Forest River agreed to
wait until November to send it back to them and then Forest River did not even take it.

It is now April and our trailer arrived at the dealership. My husband went to pick it up, and found that the unit is still not fixed. The rear garage door was bent back into place instead of being replaced, and the cables are still coming loose, and after being driven down the road will probably brake loose again, leading to the door crashing down again. The bathroom is still not completely fixed. The trailer was a mess. Grass, dirt, bolts everywhere. There was salt damage done to the outside leading to areas rusting. Then there was also damage done to the nose of the trailer.

Please whatever you do, do not buy from Forest River. They and the trailer have been a nightmare.

Went to RV show in Atlantic City.  Talked to Dealer and Local rep from Forest River. (local rep made comment that he could probably take the trailer the way it is and just re-sell it. )

-Feb 18, 2013

Local rep met with husband. Took over 100 pictures of things that needed repairs.

Feb 2013

Told Forest River would come pick up trailer to evaluate it.

Forest River called and said that they wereband-aiding the trailer up.

March 13, 2013

Told trailer would be returned to us that repairs had been made. We were told we should be happy with this, because they
made the repairs even though our warranty was up. However if you look we made the requests for it to be fixed while it
was still under warranty and at the time they REFUSED to fix it.

Below is the final list from Forest River that they repaired and then sent trailer back to us.

Forest river sent us a list of repairs made to our trailer. Cargo door was not replaced, was only bent back. Also they noted
in the list that the cargo door was probably bent by overloading it. (LIE!!!!!!!) (It was bent when it came crashing down, because they put the tumblers on backwards.)

Spring assembly cover was not factory because when cables came loose and door came down the original cover and marker light wiring was ripped out by the cables. Dylans replaced wiring and cover.

Brakes are not noted as looked at.

Water pump was finally mounted, Should have been done before it left the factory.

Partition wall has been repaired 3 times at Dylans and  now at Forest River. In the past it keeps coming loose. We feel there
may be a construction flaw in the bathroom partition wall. However they just keep securing the wall back.

Stile damage was not damage it was an improperly cut panel installed originally by Forest River.

Fuel Gauge was  inop since it left the factory. Dylans tried repairing, but it continued to have issues.

Bathroom was worked on several times in the past. It then again was re-done before it left for Indiana. Then in Indiana it
is noted that they worked on several items again. This concerns us that theremay be a structural problem with the bathroom.
