Company claims to "recondition" hail and storm damaged roofs.  State they have a patent pending RAMFiR technology they use to "reconditon" a roof when they actually do minimal cosmetic applications and then state they will guarantee the roof performance for 10, 15, 20 years.  They have a clause in warranty that hail will void warranty and their contract is very one-sided.  The owner actually fabricated a patch in his garage and claims it is being used in the reconditioning of the roofs.  You are basically being lead to believe something is being done to your roof, charged a very large premium (that they will compare to a new roof) and then given a cheap fix to the appearance.  Never will your repairs exceed the upfront charge but they will always compare their charges to a roof replacement. You are far from a roof replacement with the service they provide!  Save your money and don't be fooled with the Fortis Warranty smoke and mirrors!

#2 REBUTTAL Owner of company

President & CEO Fortis Warranty Denver Colorado

AUTHOR: Richard Lewis - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, January 11, 2016

This narrative is in response to 2ethical2lie aka Mr. David Nelson, a former employee of Fortis Warranty.

The posting refers to Kieft Warranty, Fortis Warranty, and Richard Lewis. Kieft Warranty is unrelated and has no relationship with Fortis Warranty or Richard Lewis. Though the claims to Fortis Warranty and Richard Lewis are relevant they are not truthful or accurate.

David Nelson was employed with Fortis Warranty from November 2014 until his dismissal on Monday, June 22, 2015. David Nelson was employed at will and fired on June 22, 2015 for non-performance. Following David being dismissed on June 22, 2015, regrettably, David made an anonymous posting on Ripoff Report on June 23, 2015. David began a campaign to defame our company through a ripoffreport.com filing, divisive communication with staff, and interfering with past, current, and prospective customer relationships. Following Fortis Warranty becoming aware of the posting, Fortis promptly began legal action. In response, David Nelson, ambitiously filed a rebuttal under the alias David - (USA)

The easiest way for Fortis Warranty to address this complaint is to address what is accurate:

-       The owner did originally assemble and test the RAMFiR product in a garage, prior to the invention and subsequent Patent Application #62/139,481. Following its original development and testing, Fortis Warranty contracted with a contract manufacturer that presently supplies the solvent material component of the RAMFiR assembly and manufacturers and assemblies the RAMFiR product.

-       The RAMFiR is installed where significant damage has occurred and integrity of the shingle has been compromised. The use of this technology is used where required, in some cases; it is used extensively while in others on a limited basis.

-       The reconditioning does come with a standard 10-year warranty and in some cases 15, 20, and a lifetime on select systems.

-       A business cannot exist without profit, therefore our model does rely on the reconditioning and claims never exceeding the fee Fortis Warranty charges to recondition and warranty the roof.

In summary, I ask that you phone me (Richard Lewis, President & CEO) at my direct number 720-256-2571 to discuss. Relying on an alias report filed by a disgruntled former employee to accurately represent our company and its products would be a mistake.

Ripoffreport.com is a venue to air differences and in some cases make valid claims though does not require a claim to be credentialed in any form. All postings should be considered suspect, especially those posted under an alias.

We work very hard and invest a considerable amount of money protecting the company’s reputation. Since this filing David has attempted to recant his story by posting a rebuttal but also under an anonymous.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Previous comment could'nt be further from the truth

AUTHOR: David - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, June 29, 2015

As a former employee of Fortis Warranty, I can tell you that the previous comment is not close to being accurate.  Fortis Warranty never denied 1 claim when I was with them, compare that to any manufacturer and you will see who you should count on, it;s Fortis!
