We went to Fred Martin Motors to purchase a car. It was a
huge mistake.

We were kept in a confusion the entire time. We would ask a
question & never get an answer. We were moved here & there for
nearly 5 hours. My husband & I were often left alone to wait. The finance person was rude, arrogant, & badgered us to buy his
warranty even though we had declined it several times. He did not try to get us a good interest rate & several important items were not disclosed to us. He even ran a few papers through the printer after they were signed. He questioned my ability to pay for repairs & how I intended to without the warranty. The payment went from being $261 when we accepted the deal to $269 on the loan papers.

I returned with my father & son to ask a few questions to
another person in financing. He was just as rude arrogant &
condescending as the first. When my father became upset he demanded that my father (who was holding my son) get off the lot & he was calling the police. The only place to go was the street.

Then alternator & battery died. I took the car to them &
asked to speak with the used car manager. I was escorted to the
rear of the room behind a parition to wait. After waiting 15
minutes I went to the used car manager's office to tell him again how dissatisfied I was with the way I had been treated. He
interrupted me & said he would call when he knew something about
the car. I ended up having to pay for half the repairs. They also did a terrible job repairing the interior on the rear doors. It looks as if I glued it myself.

Then A/C stopped working. I was told by the sales person
that the used car manager had already done all he was going to do for me.
I also checked with the Better Business Bureau. Fred Martin Motors has been reported for not disclosing important information during a sale, bad repairs, not having the advertised vehicles & leasing ads that did not have the required disclosures.
