Signed up for the trial to get the $25 ebay gift card. Made the first purchase the same day as required. Called customer service to verify that everything was OK. They told me it was. Today the gift card was denied by their Customer Service Manager Alice Rand. I quote "The promotion stopped that day, so if you had been able to give me the correct confirmation I would have transferred you over to that campaign." I'm still not sure what she meant by "correct information." Is it just me or does anyone else think it's fishy to say the promotion ended the day you signed up? Basically, the excuse she gave me was that I clicked on the link outside of eBay and that's why they will no honor it. I don't see any mention whatsoever about having to click on the link from eBay only.

THE COMPANY IS ALREADY UNDER A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

It took a BBB complaint to resolve the matter, but the company decided to honor my request for the $25 gift certificate. I think it's very noble of them and is a sign of good business practice. It is too bad that it took all this hassle to get to this point. They did the right thing and I have no more issues with them.

The link contained all the necessary information to complete the claim and obtain a gift card. There are numerous reports of people who used that particular link and got their gift cards by following the same instructions that I followed. None of them were required to provide any type of backup documentation. They came up with that excuse to deny the gift card. If one does a search on ebay users trying to redeem their gift cards, there is a numerous amount of complaints about being scammed by freeshipping.com. So no wonder the company decided to make a scapegoat out of me. There was no attempt by me to cheat the company out of anything. I encourage everyone to google "freeshipping.com scam" and "freeshipping.com complaints".

It appears that this gentlemen signed up through a link that was posted with incorrect information regarding how to properly quality for the $25 Gift Card promotion. Therefore he did not provide the proper backup documentation and that was why his claim was ultimately denied. Had he been able to provide the proper documentation, we would have honored the claim. 

We ended that particular promotion due to the abundance of various unauthorized posting that did not properly inform potential members on the requirements. We had thousands of members join and receive their gift card. These joined through the proper channels.
