Fresh Start Computer Repair- Doug Wilson Senior Citizen and Disabled Persons, this man is a fraud, rip off and will take your computer and not return it, does not provide full address,. Slick Guy BEWARE Muskegon Michigan

 I am a senior citizen, disabled, Doug came to my home after we spoke on the phone. I explained about my acer laptop, no power and he stated he worked on broken laptops, power or not. He plugged the adapter in and it did not start up, then said he needed to take it home to work on it. Doug then worked on my Dell laptop, and altered the formating, wiped out all restore points, and downloaded several programs to check for viruses.  Come to find out, when he used his "thumb drive with all the programs" he also copied files. Told me he needed to connect through the wifi and said he had to have my wifi password, me trusting him and that he knew what he was doing, provided everything he asked, later to change the information after speaking with ISP. He charged me $50.00 and said that he only accepted cash, and the work was guarenteed, or refund.  I paid him, he took my bookbag laptop, and batteries, new ac charger, and said he would call me that evening, and bring my belongings back to me. I explained that I am not able to drive, that is why he came to my home.  This happened in July 2013, and he still has not returned my things. I have left numerous phone messages, text messages, emails, and provided dates times I would be home so he would return them.  I am unable to use my dell after his "fix" leaving me with no way to check email with out using someone elses computer.

I believe he preys on the elderly, disabled, knowing he can manipulate the person with his smile, laughter and fast talking, making me believe he knew what he was doing.

Yes, I spoke with someone who used this computer repair service, in fact they referred me. But he is a young man and computer savy. I asked the guy for Dougs address and he said he did not have it, that the guy came to his home.

I understand that the guy uses the Muskegon Flea Market to try and sell his wares, and services, however I have not been able to find him.  He also has a Facebook page

I urge you to not use this  Fresh Start Computer Repair Service or beware, when talking with him, he will tell you anything to get you.
