Future Nissan of Folsom problem with my extended warranty (which is a Nissan extended warranty).  I brought the car in with a rough idle and 12 volt outlet problems, both problems still exist.  They will no longer take my calls, and have no interest in fixing my car.  They refused to give me a rental, which is covered under my extended warranty, and now I'm having to take the car elsewhere to get it fixed, before the extended warranty expires.

I brought the car in to Rod at Future Nissan, who told me they could no longer do rentals (I later read this is covered in my extended warranty!), and they ended up replacing the head for a rough idle and pulsating issue, and they said my 12 volt outlet in the center console was fine.  They charged the extended warranty over $4000 for a new head.  When I got the car back, the idle was as rough as ever.  At the time I figured maybe I just didn’t plug in my phone charger all the way.  This car was brought in on Feb 24 2014.

I brought the car back for the rough idle.  This time I did get a rental car (March 5th 2014).  I picked it up at lunch the next day, and they said that two of their master mechanics looked it over, they reprogrammed it per some bulletin, and that everything is fine.

The next morning, the idle was as rough as ever.  I called Rod back told him the idle was still bad.  Rod was silent for 5 or 6 seconds, I thought the call had been dropped.  This is where Rod's personality did a complete 180 from anything I'd seen from him before (he was always very nice, very professional before).  Then he told me that two master mechanics had looked over my car and there was nothing wrong with it.  He said that I can’t expect a car with 50,000 miles on it to run smoothly (I highly disagree – that isn’t that many miles), and that it was probably cheap gas.  When I got home there was a msg on my voice mail from “Bob” in the service department, asking how everything went.  When I called Bob back, I was on the phone for a long time, and I got transferred around several times, and in the end, I was told Bob wasn’t there, and he’d call me back.  I never got a call back.

Now here I am, my extended warranty is about to expire, and the car still has a rough idle, and the center console 12v outlet still does not work (the other 12volt outlet forward of that works fine) .  I am going to bring it to Shingle Springs Nissan, but now I am going to have to pay the $50 deducible again, for the very same issues I already brought the car in and Future Nissan of Folsom could not repair the issues.  I am also very upset at being told rental cars were no longer being done, when in fact my extended warranty covers this.  They had my car 4 days replacing the head, and I was paying people to give me rides to and from work and to the dealer, as my wife was out of town.

I want the $50 refunded from the original repair, and I want to be reimbursed for the 4 days without a rental car at $35/day.  I expect these problems to be fixed, under the warranty.

Future Nissan of Folsom sucks.  I'll never buy another Nissan, nor do business with Future Nissan.  I can't believe they treat their customers this way.
