I purchased a G Force Chip for my 2005 Ford F150 and installed it according to the enclosed intstructions. The instructions said to isolate the wires going to the MAF by checking for the two wires with a set resistance of OHMS or a set voltage. Just to be sure I verified the wires by both methods.

I installed the chip and drove it for 700 kilometres or around 430 miles. The instructions said it has a 100 mile "learning" period. My vehicle began to stall out, refusing to take the gas. It then became hard to start, cranking over & over without starting. I had to let it sit for a minute or two and then it started right up. My engine light came on and is still on. Once I disconnected the Chip all of my problems went away except for the engine light which stayed on.

When I contacted G Force technical department, Clay Williams, the Tech Support Manager. Here is his final reply "Well Ford's like two different wire combinations and it’s nearly impossible to know which one it’s going to like.  Right now you have it on the IAT signal wire and the IAT signal return.  So let’s try using the MAF signal (tan/light blue) wire and leave the other connection where it is on the gray/red wire.  Make sure to disconnect the battery before you make the switch.  You should notice a big gain with in the first 65 miles.  If you don't see any positive results then let me know.

If you want a refund then you'll need to send an email to sales@gforcechips.com and request a RMA#

Since I have had enough trouble I would not try this. Return was no an option as I was well over the 14 days. G Force will exchange it but only if I send it to them for review. By the time I pay shipping and then more Customs to get it or another back it just is not worth it. My mileage is down, my engine light is on and now I have to go to a mechanic to have a scan and a reset for $100.00.

Save your money, warn your friends and buy something else like maybe a Bully Dog
