Gadget Circuit LLC Sketchy products, misleading business practices Somerset New Jersey

Bought a Samsung camera from Gadget Circuit because it was nearly $150 cheaper than any other site. They confirmed on the phone several times that it was a "SEALED, completely new condition kit bundle." Instead they sent me a camera in an open box from the wrong kit (with labels in Russian and Chinese), and a separetely packaged lens.

Their warehouse has been prosecuted for scamming customers before. You send returns to 245 Belmont, Somerset, which after doing some google research brings up this link: consumeraffairs.com/news04/2011/02/texas-takes-action-against-new-york-electronics-retailers.html The companies at this address have been known to upsell accessories hard, advertise one product then withdraw it, and selling foreign "gray market products." Gadgetciruit is obviouisly operating from the same company, which is still using these selling practices and now operates under many different names.

Also avoid: Fumfie. Exact same model, advertise products at the lowest price, tack on mandatory fees, try very hard to push accessories ("$40 battery, for you at a rock bottom discount of $25" which you can find on google for $15), then substitute with products of a lower quality. I ordered a kit from them, they told me it was available and shipping out, then called the next day to say it's "unavailable, but they could susbtitute it with a different kit for the same price" (which was a cheaper kit), or send me an open box one with a lens taken from another kit. Both obviously unacceptable substitutions.

There is a reason these sellers are cheaper than everyone. Buy from a reputable source, or risk getting hard sales pitches, open box gray market products, and substitions with inferior quality.
