We have sent a number of people posing as customers into Super Rupair and found the following:
1.) Women are consistently quoted between $400 and $500 more for the VERY SAME repair.
2.) They often quote between $800 - $900 for repairs that other shops charge $100 - $400 for.
3.) They will NEVER not quote you for some repair, whether you need it or not, and will ALWAYS email you a month later saying you need another $400 worth of repairs. When you come in the $400 becomes $800.
4.) They never refund anything -- EVEN WHEN CAUGHT IN A LIE.

This used to be a good shop but the owner, Gary Chambers, got in financial problems and decided to gouge his customers. Try it for yourself: take you car to Super Rupair and take it to any other shop in Boulder and see the difference.

Joseph Chinnock is the original author

AUTHOR: Gary - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, December 22, 2016

Joseph Chinnock wrote this review and many others against me because I wouldn't pay what I consdered "Blackmail". After I hired an attorney he removed all the negative reviews except for this one because these are permanent unless you pay them huge sums of money, hence their name. I would sue Joesph (and win) to get this removed but I don't believe he has the money. To get a clearer picture of what he is like, insert his name in this sites search bar; 16 complaints filed against him. He's a self proclaimed writer, maybe that's why the story is so appealling. Disregarding your "retraction", you would appear to be a liar

and a fraud and probably more.
You file a report making it appear you are part of an "official agency", when it appears you are NOT.

I hope someone pursues this (and you), for mis-representing yourself and them.

Have a particularly bad day.

Super Rupair's Ripoff Report Response

AUTHOR: Gary - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, October 02, 2011
First thing: This complaint was was supposedly file by the Boulder Consumer Alert division but when I called them they had absolutely no knowledge of us or this complaint.

Second thing: The author has since retracted this statement but whatever gets posted onto this site is permanent.

Third thing: All of us here at Super Rupair are truly very, very sorry for what ever the author may have experienced here. I/we have been striving for excellence since the moment I opened up Super Rupair in the winter of "81".  We all work hard at maintaining the reputation of being an honest business, a company that operates with integrity. So when we see that a customer has taken the time to write a less than stellar review of their experience with us, we take it to heart.

We take pride (and have fun) in ensuring that every customer is treated professionally, respectfully and with dignity regardless of race or gender.

It has always been our goal to exceed our customers expectations and we value and appreciate each and every relationship we have with our customers.

We do everything possible to correct any mistake that we have made no matter how trivial. In the past 30 years we have we have made some mistakes and unfortunately I know some will be made in the future, but I believe in that every situation the problem can be resolved. And the great thing that comes out of every bad situation is we LEARN!!!

The difficulty arises in knowing how to respond to claims that are so out of line with how we do business. However, perception is reality and if there is even one customer out there who felt that we treated them with anything less than respect and dignity then we must acknowledge those perceptions.

I am reaching out to the author of this review to please, please contact me directly at your earliest convenience to resolve any and all issues you may have with us.

Sincerely,

Gary Chambers, owner of Super Rupair

I have spoken with other auto repair shops and they have advised me that it is possible to have significant differences in opinion and diagnostics about what to do with a vehicle. In particular an older car. I retratc my previous statements.
