To whom it may concern,

In November, of 1998, I made a purchase of a '99
GMC Denali, thru a smart buy program as I had done
before with my wifes car which I had paid off. A
'95 Grand Prix. Right from the start I had problems
with the motor rattling and the dealer,Southaven
Pontiac, GMC,addressed the problem by saying it was
normal for it to do so. At that point I went to
another dealer,General truck sales, where their
service writer agreed that it was not normal and
needed immediate attention. The next day I pick
up my vehicle and before I got home it was Rattling
again. At that point I went back to Southaven
Pontiac, this time they tried to make the repair
and once again I still had a rattling engine.
The dealer at this point called in a GMC rep.
Who tried to tell me I had to live with this
problem and the shuttering complaint that had
developed in the drive train. When I and the rep.
arrived back at the dealer upon allowing the
vehicle to set and idle he finally agreed the
noise was not normal and needed to be adressed
several weeks later after being without my vehicle
Tech line had verbally told the service department
that they,GMC, Had problems with the cam assymbly
and adviced replacement of cam shaft, lifters, and
rocker arms.the total time down was approximatly
7 1/2 weeks. When I got the vehicle back it started
using oil and the dealer said this was normal and
not excessive, yet they over filled by 1 quart
everytime I go in for service. In November of 99
my transmission put me to walking and I had to be
towed to the dealer.I also had to have a rear left
axle seal replaced earlier pryor to transmission
replacement and since have had front pinion seal
in front differential replaced and it is currently
still leaking as does the engine still rattles and
I am tired and exhausted. I purchased a new vehicle
for dependability not shop time. I ask them to
repurchase the vehicle and they refuse. This is
a very BIG dissappointment to have invested over
$12,000 in such a vehicle that retails for some
$45,000. I do not won't to lose my investment.
because of improper manufacturing on the behalf of
the General Motors Corp.Currently I have to drive a
GMC Denali that everytime an associate travels with
me I have to describe to them what all the clunking
and rattling noise is and tell my horror story that
is plaguing me. there seems to be no solution on my
end of the rope.I Danny L. Thweatt once again will
spend my Monday trying to get an appointment at
Southaven Pontiac,GMC,Southaven, Ms. 38671. Phone
6623495600, know the number by heart. This has been
occurring over a period of a year.I need someone
who knows how to help me please.

Sincerely,
Danny L. Thweatt
