i thomas of orange county ca would like to go on record saying that my wife naomi and i got ripped off by general electric on a 48 gallon water heater we purchased in 2008 and the warranty was 6 years but it apparently only covered replacement parts not labor.
i will tell all that this is my last purchase of any type of home improvement from both ge and home depot, both companies stink with worthless attitudes, all they want is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. i told both sides off and know they don't care but they will when they eventually notice no more business from me. to anyone who reads this i'm telling you ge stinks and home depot as well for they don't care about customer satisfaction just profits.
our heaters thermocouple went defective and they did replace it but we had to hire a plumber to replace old one. we have hot water now but this will forever burn in my memory as on of my worst nightmares and neither company cares whether your satisfied or not just money.
BOTTM LINE: I WILL NEVER GIVE ANYMORE BUSINESS TO GE OR HOME DEPOT.
