Gentech LLC Computer scam created virus to gain access to my computer Internet

 I recieved a pop up on my compurt indicating I had been hacked and I had to call a phone number. When I called the number they answered Microsoft support". I was told I needed to give them access to my computer which I did. 

After they gained access I was told I had to pay $149.99 to stop the hacker.  When I was told I could only pay by debit card I became suspicious. I asked questions and was told they were Gentech LLC a third party contracted by Microsoft. I didn't pay, I called Microsoft and was told they were not part of Microsoft. 

Gentech left a shortcut titled "Gentech" on my computer and I am unable to remove it.  I now have to pay Microsoft $239 to remove it or this scam company can use it to access my banking information.
