getcafecup.com getcafecup.com is a huge RIPOFF!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Internet

This company, www.getcafecup.com, is a ripoff!!  I ordered their product, a K-cup holder, from their web-site.  It was advertised at a fairly reasonable price, $9.99 (plus the ever present ripoff "Shipping and Handling,"  for two (2) of the K-cup holders.  They offered a double order for a few additional bucks plus additional S&H.  I did NOT order the double order.  In the "Quanity" block, I entered  "1."  

They then offered an upgrade to the ordered product:  They advertised this product as "...better than their [basic model], for just a few bucks more than my original order.  This upgrade, also offered another of the ripoffs used by these fly-by-night companies:  a life-time guarantee on the product:  "...Just return the damaged product, even if [I] caused the damage to it..." and I would receive a replacement.  I accepted this offer since they mentioned that this upgrade was made with a gold mesh which did not convey a metallic taste that their basic model often did.

They offered expedited shipping, stating that the basic shipment method may take up to 6 to 7 weeks before arriving.  I declined the expedited shipping method as I was in no hurry to receive the product.

It should be noted that no where was the shipping & handling cost displayed.  Furthermore, I was not offered a look at the overall order; i.e., product ordered, how many did I order, the price for the order, the price for shipping & handling.  

After I declined the expedited Shipping & Handling method, my order was suddenly complete.  As I stated, I was never offered a view of the complete order, including total cost, before the order was just suddenly complete.  

Whereas I expected the order I placed:   1 "upgraded" CafeExpress cup order, with basic shipping, to cost in the neighborhood of $30 AT MOST (even that would have been a bit high).  Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the cost for my order was approx $50!

There is no email address to send a complaint to; nor is there a phone number to contact them.  I have reported them to the "KARMA Patrol."  They'll get theirs.  One day.
