I purchased one of Gigabytes Graphics cards only 1 year and 6 months ago it was a Gigabyte GV-R928XOC-3GD or a R9 280X 3GB rev 1.0 graphics card which retailed at $299.99 in November 2013. After recieving the card I was getting grey vertical lines when lauching games after about 30 minutes to 1 hour of playtime in some instances my computer would shutdown and reboot when playing heavy intensive titles for example The Withcer 3 Wild Hunt which was realeased this year. The problems started going from bad to worse at first I thought there was other issues such as memory, hard drive, and drivers. However after numerous reinstallations of drivers and after replacing my power supply and memory the issue still contiuned. I researched the issue upto know and other people were experiencing the same exact problems with their R9 280X made by Gigabyte. After heavy research online and the web Gigabyte cards shipped with faulty vram memory chips, and the fact that the card was overclocked to high. Some techs were able to underclock the card to keep it stable, but this is a rip-off company that deliberate makes faulty computer hardware.

Currently I decided I would use their 3 year warranty RMA program that the company offers on motherboards and graphic cards. So when you go online to complete a RMA you have to pay shipping out of pocket. So after sending my card back and waiting 3 weeks for my return I get an even worse more faulty graphics card then what I originally sent in. In fact their so called repair center does not fix anything, but will send you something worse then what you had prevously. So I sent it back a 2nd time which Gigabyte sent me a return label after speaking with a customer support rep he suggest that would get a replacement card he also said that the card is still being produced and that it was not discontinued, but after checking online merchants currently only 2 are still selling this card but its overpriced at about $384 new, then I got to Gigabytes website and they have 3 diffrent versions of the same card that they currently make a : GV-R928XWF3-3GD (rev. 3.0) and a GV-R928XOC-3GD (rev. 3.0) but I dont see where these cards are being sold online so I am still awaiting a replacement card that works.

Anyone out there should avoid buying Gigabyte computer hardware they not only purposefully sell faulty hardware to merchants ,but they offer a even worse RMA 3 year warranty policy for covering up their mess. It would be nice if someone out there could sue this company for misreprenstation. I know I am not the only one who has been ripped off by this hardware giant.
