Glass-Smith & Company rip off, cut my glass wrong, when questioned...owner starts yelling at me (yes, I was being a lady) wouldn't refund my money, Internet

The WORST and most UNPROFESSIONAL service I have ever received!  I had taken my glass in to be cut, (at first they lost my measurements they had taped to the mirror.) I supplied them with the measurements AGAIN, but I guess this really does not matter as they cut them all "WRONG" anyway. They then proceeded to tell me I brought in a mirror that was too small for the cuts I wanted...

I KNOW the size of mirror I brought to them.  But as I called to explain that maybe I received another persons mirror?? Maybe I caught him on a bad day...nonetheless, I actually had to tell this man to stop YELLING at me.

To add to all of this, they do NOT guarantee any cuts they make on your mirrors, this includes breaking of the mirror (which I understand all glass shops do BUT.... at this glass shop they do not Guarantee even the size it comes out.

You can give them your measurements but they can cut ANY size they want and you still have to pay for it!

I even asked him (one of the owners) after I asked him to stop yelling at me, "so if I brought my mirror to be cut I tell you it has to be cut 72'' long and you cut it 50'' long...It's my problem, not yours? He said YES!

We will not Guarantee the size cut........

I ask what is the point ..... even suggesting that I stand beside them to make sure they know what they are doing and cut it right, should I do this???? He said YES. WOW!!! Could not believe my ears.

I just don't want others to have to go through what I had just gone through, Reno's are hard enough, and there are plenty of other glass shops in Victoria I am most certain would treat you with respect and at least do the simple job of cutting the glass to the size you are paying for.

My result ...The company was paid in full....for me, I am left with a bunch of mirror that does not fit. ..You make the choice, believe me its not worth adding this kind of frustration to your renovation..........Find another Glass shop.

I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Happy renovating!
