Ken Jones with Global Relocation was very persistent in his sales effort. After receiving a quote of $4000 and a promised delivery of 9/29/13 we agreed to hire them for our move.  After loading our things they presented us a bill for $9275 expaining that we had more than they had estimated.  Unable to do much now that the things were loaded we paid them.  It is now 10/14/13 and we still have no idea where our belongings are or if we will ever see them again.  With each call to Global Relocation we were given a new delivery date, all of which have come and gone with no notice from them.  When I call I am placed on hold for 30-40 minutes each time and then only told they will have to call me back when they locate the driver.  Never have I rec'd a call back - ever!  It appears they have no control over your belongings.  They are merely a middleman.  They book your load, store it in a warehouse until they have enough to partially or fully fill a truck.  If the truck is not filled the driver will continue on to other warehouses in various states adding to their load.  Once they enter an area where they have a delivery, they will deliver but then attempt to fill that space by picking up more loads.  This continues until they have eventually worked their way to your destination.  This process was NEVER told to me until after my 15th call to them trying to locate my belongings.  On your quote and on the back of your bill of lading they attempt to circumvent any legal ramifications by stating they have 3-21 business days to deliver.  This gives them the ability to pulll this off.  I have now been living for three weeks in a home with none of my furnishings, cookware,or clothes.  We arrived when the temperatures were in the 70's and have now experienced two snow storms with no coats, gloves, hats, winter boots.  If you are moving please avoid this very unpleasant experience and find a reputable mover that will guarantee your delivery date in writing.
