Global Resources, LLC SCAM! Northbrook, Illinois
After reading a job board, I contacted Global Resources for a follow up phone interview. I was sent an Email showing the company requirements, pay scale, expected travel and other incidentals needed to do the work. After reading these requirements it became apparent that something was not right. I found Rip off report on Google and everything started to make sense. I was ready to receive a phone call from Global with many questions in hand. I received my call from Brian Parks and decided to let them off the hook easily.
I said I wasn't interested in the job and he asked why. That started the heated exchange as follows. I told him that paying for airline tickets for training and other travel seemed suspicious and having to bring my own Laptop and printer made me feel this was not an opportunity, but a gentleman's handshake deal that will go awry. Brian Parks started yelling at me that this is not how you start an interview and that I was burning bridges. I mentioned to him that I contacted other consulting companies and his company format does not Jive with the way it works elsewhere.
Brian again started yelling at me and I mean really yelling that we are different than other consulting companies. I realized then that a true H.R. man would keep his composure and just say "sorry it didn't work ." But Brian kept ranting that I am making a huge mistake and never to call his bevy of companies again. I told him he was unprofessional and hung up. Later, I received an Email from Brian saying I'm a bridge burner and never call him. Be careful with this company, short tempers and bad documentation make for a disastrous partnership.
