Global Resources Global Resources LLC Business Consultant Scam Ripoff Northbrook, Illinois

Global Resources advertises on the job boards for Business Consultants. I sent in my resume and the next day they called me saying I was exactly what they were looking for.  They asked me about 10 questions that I had already answered as part of submitting my resume.  I started to ask them a few questions and they told me "all of the answers were on their website", and wouldn't answer any questions about where they get their clients.  Beware of the people I spoke with Barbara Gamm and Rick Koehler.  This place smelt bad from the start. 



They tell you that they want you to do a financial case that is general accounting 101.  They want you to go through two weeks of training where they pay you $1000 for the two weeks and also require you to supply your own laptop and portable printer.  What type of professional business organization does not provide their employees with a laptop and a printer. 



Since I smelled a rat, I didn't return any of the information they wanted.  They emailed me saying I was perfect for the job and wanted to get started immediately.  They sent me some propaganda about benefits.  All it was were two sheets of paper with medical insurance and dental insurance rates which they would be charging full rate for.  What type of professional business organization does not pick up part of the cost of insurance nor check references nor check credentials? 



Origionaly they said the average Business Consultant makes $115k-$120k a year.  They sent a sheet of paper that shows how they get there and the numbers do not add up.  They claim to charge their "clients" an average of $280 an hour but they only pay (if they ever do) their employees about 10% or $28 an hour.  Their calculation of earnings also includes as "income" per diem reimbursement.   The average consultant according to their sheet now only makes $80k before adding in $14.3k worth of per diem.  The Big 4 accounting firms might charge that, but not a no name firm like Global Resources.



These people are a scam.  It takes a real business and financial background to turn around a company which is what these people say they are looking for.  No senior level financial professional who is worth their weight will work for $28 an hour.



When these people call put them on hold and leave them hanging.  If you get involved with them you will be left hanging for any work they might have you do.
