We found Gravitate to Green (aka Global Wide Green, The Edge Pools) at the home show and got a free energy audit. Mike Bulatovich came out, sold us duct seal, attic insulation, energy efficient pool pump, sand filter, solar panels (2012). Two very young guys did duct seal/attic insulation, skipping many spots. We called FSL to come to inspect their work, they didn't pass, so G2G came back out to fix it. We canceled solar panel contract with them, but had already paid for everything else. The Edge Pools matched Leslie's for Pentair pump/filter with 3 year warranty. They came with wrong model # (much cheaper one). Randy Appel (owner) argued it was satisfactory substitute but we refused. Got the right model #, two men not fluent in English installed it. We asked them if they calibrated, they replied yes. Randy installed 2 wok pots, arguing about placement, sloppily cementing them to the pool deck. Immediately we noticed the equipment wasn't working right, but our concerns were dismissed by Randy. A year later (2013) the equipment slowed, vacuum didn't move, water features dribbled. It took numerous calls/emails to Mike Bulatovic, Randy and wife Janae Appel. We finally insisted they pay Leslie's to come out. Leslie's came out, Janae hadn't paid them. Leslie's verified problems existed, found pump was never calibrated! Leslie's calibrated the pump. Work needed to be done to figure out the problem, but Janae refused to pay Leslie's for any work. It took months to get Mike and Janae to our home to see/repair issues. Janae replaced the backwash valve o-rings. Issues persisted (2014). Janae sent Pentair out who suggested changing 2-year old sand. We personally changed the sand to zeolite. Equipment still not working properly! Additionally, wok pot plumbing cracked, cement crumbled. Mike claimed equipment fixed by sand changed, found friend of his to fix woks. Didn't tell us friend was going to charge us to fix woks! Nothing but MAJOR problems, company tries to trivialize as "minor" problems in review responses.

Correction in response to defamation/libel suit
AUTHOR: - ()
SUBMITTED: Thursday, June 16, 2016
Mr. Bulatovich has notified me that he intends to file a defamation/libel suit if I do not correct some information in my original review. When I found Graviate to Green at the home show, I did not realize they were not afffiliated with Global Wide Green / The Edge Pools / Randy & Janae Appel. I was suprised to learn later that Gravitate to Green was simply a marketing agency and performs no work, as it was not initially made clear to me. So my review erroneously stated that Gravitate to Green was responsible for the work on my property. Global Wide Green / The Edge Pools / Randy & Janae Appel are responsible for the work performed and are who I am mostly disatisfied with now that Graviate to Green states they will no longer use the Appels as contractors. I intend to remove the review if Rip Off Report cooperates due to the erroneous statement that made Gravitate to Green sound like they were the ones performing the work, as it will not let me amend my original review to correct the error. Thank you.

Changing Names

Just wanted everyone to be aware that Randy Appel & Janae Appel as well as Mike Bulatovich keep changing business names. Randy & Janae have been Gravitate to Green, Global Wide Green, The Edge Pools, and Appel's Rent All. Mike Bulatovich appears to have separated from the Appels and is now SunDrop Solar in Tempe, AZ which has its own disastisfied customers if you look at online reviews. It seems like the same bad business practices are being transferred to "new" businesses, perhaps to try to escape online reviews. Though they've been quite successful at removing my Yelp, Google, and YellowPages reviews... I'm not trying to say that they are necessarily still doing bad business (because I have not dealt with them since Gravitate to Green), but I want other consumers to be aware that a new business name may be a cover for bad business people.
Advertisers above have met our
strict standards for business conduct.
