SEO Reputation Management at its best!

i would like to review my experience with the go daddy reseller program.  i have been a go daddy super reseller for a little over two years.  sales on my godaddy reseller site have been rather slow and i think i have discovered why.

a few months ago, i was browsing over some design changes to my go daddy super reseller storefront and i noticed several hidden links on my reseller storefront to another go daddy reseller website called domainspricedright.com i have determined that this go daddy reseller site is operated by godaddy.

when i clicked on these links i was able to create an account and make purchases using this godaddy reseller storefront instead of my own godaddy reseller storefront.  i then called godaddy reseller support and advised them of my concerns.  i was told that these links on my godaddy reseller storefront were for example purposes and my concerns were disregarded  as unimportant.  i asked what could be done to rectify the situation and was told that nothing would be done and it was not of godaddy's concern.

i must admit i did feel somewhat foolish having been promoting a godaddy super reseller website for two years without noticing these hidden links.  so i have since stopped marketing my go daddy super reseller website and i now only market the go daddy pro reseller storefront.

now i have discovered an even greater concern.  i made a phone call to the "white label" customer support line that godaddy provides for it's resellers and after speaking with a customer service rep named Ivan for a few minutes he asked me if I was at the GoDaddy.com website.  he then offered to help me create an account at the godaddy website instead.  during the conversation he also advised me of several special offers available exclusively on the go daddy website.  this brings me to another issue about the go daddy super reseller program that really bothers me.

go daddy guarantees it's resellers the "best buy rates in the industry" what they do not tell you is that they will advertise numerous special prices and discounts on the same products for sale on the godaddy reseller storefronts.  many of these prices are much lower than the reseller buy rates and reseller membership is not required to receive the discounted prices.  they particularly advertise these discounts to nonresellers.  also, go daddy resellers are not allowed to offer these same offers on our own reseller storefronts.

so basicly, go daddy uses numerous ways to redirect hard earned traffic from your go daddy reseller store front to go daddy's own web store front.  i feel numerous lines have been crossed here, including deceptive business practices, false advertising and consumer fraud.  i fully intend to bring all of these issues up to go daddy, although i'm not expecting a very positive outcome.

i would appreciate any advice from impartial or non biased observers, godaddy representives and others who have had similar experiences with the godaddy reseller program. thanks for reading my review of the go daddy reseller plan.

Thank you for your reply.  I've actually spoken with somebody in the reseller suport department the other day and I brought up all these concerns.  The rep that answered the phone disregarded most of my concerns with some rather poor excuses such as "our phone support reps might accidently say godaddy during the conversation on superbowl sunday because we're just so busy" he also used the word "paranoid" several times to address my concerns.

I called the white label support line (480) 624-2500 as a potential reseller customer.  For one of your reps to mention special offers available only on the godaddy website and then urge me to create a godaddy account instead, even after i mentioned my reseller website, is unacceptable

as far as confusion over the pricing, like i said resellers are guaranteed the best buy rates in the industry.  however, the reseller buy rate for .coms is $8.29 Godaddy has been selling .coms at .99 cents for the past three months, as well as website builder for 1 dollar per month.  this is at best a misrepresentation to resellers because the "best buy rates" are available to anyone and everyone.  even customers of my reseller site.

so far the only reconciliation anyone at godaddy has offered is to cancel my account.  godaddy reseller phone reps have barely acknowledged my concerns and disregarded tham as paranoid.  I have been a reseller for over two years and i had to discover all of these concerns on my own.

i have about 12 domains registered with godaddy and i also host my own business websites with godaddy so simply canceling my account right away is not an easy solution.

also, i feel that people considering the reseller program should have the opportunity to consider these issues before purchasing the reseller program.  that is another reason i chose this forum instead.

also, i know bob parsons doesn't like it when people handle things this way because he has mentioned it in his blogs.  all i have left to say is you guys should really be more upfront with your customers.
