Dealing with this dealership/shop has been a nightmare from h***. I wish I would of read the other reviews and checked their BBB rating before I got involved with them. I had my cruiser stored with Gonnasons from sept. 2013- till April 2014. I had them do some minor TLC to the boat and asked them to winterized my engine for the winter. Turns out the didn't winterize it, didn't drain the water from the engine block and as a result I had a cracked block and pushed out freeze plugs. After winter I ran my engine for 20 minutes and had oil that looked like a vanilla milkshake and the level would rise a 1/4 inch on the dipstick. They didn't want to accept responsibility for it and kept telling me that the milkshake oil was from condensation from the winter and even charged me $125 for an hour of labor to lie to my face and say that my engine was fine. I made them change the oil and we still had the problem. After that they accepted responsibility and decided to change the spacers on the exhaust manifolds. Which took them 2weeks to replace. That didn't solve the issue. This whole time I already have a serious buyer for my boat that put down a deposit. I explained the situation to Jeff Gonnasons numerous amount of times and even offered for him to buy my boat and all he keeps saying is "huh that's weird" and "I don't know" and wouldn't give me an eta on when he would fix. At this point my buyer was ready to back out. I didn't want to lose the boating season or the buyer and ended up taking it to another shop. They replaced my engine in 2 weeks and the boat up and running. I still sold the boat but now I'm $8,300 in the hole for a new engine. This whole thing dragged out for a month and a half. I gave them an opportunity to fix it and plenty of time to work on it (A MONTH AND A HALF). Jeff Gonnasons doesn't want to pay a penny towards the new engine I installed. Now I have to deal with a lawsuit. To SUM EVERYTHING UP, JEFF GONNASONS(owner) AND FRED KASHIDA (Service manager) are crooks, swindlers, criminals and by the way they act, it seems like they have been getting away with this behavior for a very long long time.
