Overall Payed Mechanic 3000$ to fix vehicle & make sure check engine light stays off. Lights keeps coming on with new code after mechanic worked on it. The first diagnosis in which led me to pay 1300$. Shortly after the car shut down we had to bring it back to him. He said the fuel pump was going out I payed 500$ to get that fixed. I later went back because of the check engine light still coming on still showing the same code after they were supposed to fix it. I payed 970$ to get the oil / power steering leak fixed because all of a sudden the power steering fluid was leaking now. After fixing that the check engine light still comes on & he tells me the timing belt is now shot and must be repaired ASAP. Why didn't he tell me that the very first diagnosis or even the second one? He waited until after I payed almost 1000$ on top of the other 1700$ to tell me this which was gonna cost another 500$ to fix. I just don't know what to do anymore I can't afford to keep putting more money into my car as I've already exceeded the value of the car itself 98 Dodge Stratus especially if it isn't going to be fixed properly.
