GoodFeet Good Feet Arch supports total ripoff - A great way to lose money!! Denver Colorado

 I bought a pair of customized orthotics 6 years ago before they were popular and I paid about $600. I was desperate, because I had swelling on the lateral sides of knees and pain , eventually I couldn't bend my knees bcs of the swelling... After receiving my orthotics it took about 8 months to get pain free, but that was bcs I didn't listen to the sales persons directions. They told me to take it gently and light/slow at first, but I was in such a hurry to feel the difference that I wore them too long and gave myself plantar fasciitis. These customized inserts do work, but you must start slowly and then there is the price. Just like the cost of great tires on a car, you're going to pay for the right equipment on your feet. Even though the material is very cheap you are going to pay a high amount because of what the inserts do for you, which is fix the alignment of your feet, your knees, your hips, to your shoulders. It's unfortunate that any type of medical device they price gouge the consumer because they know how desperate we are to get out of pain but they are definitely worth it, in my opinion!

I went into a Good Feet store out of pain from Plantar Fasciitis that had just started hoping to find some relief. The sales person was smooth and skilled at his job. I ended up purchasing their 3 part system as the salesperson insisted I needed all 3 for my greatest chances for relief. About $1000! Yes, very expensive.

In reading the reviews after I made my purchase I saw negative and positive ones. The negative ones fueled my fears that I had been duped. I wore these things according to the schedule they supplied me. Doubting. It has been about 6 weeks and my pain is about 90% gone. I also do exercises to stretch my feet out.

My conclusion is I did not need all 3 supports. I wear The Exerciser and The Relaxer. My pain is most of the way gone after 6 weeks and am hopeful it will continue improving. It was worth it to me to pay the money for the relief it has given me.

 I am sorry you had a bad experience with good feet. I went there in desperation. I had plantar fasciitis to the point I could hardly walk. After using the inserts for 3-4 days my pain was 90 percent better.

I was not happy with the price. I did buy the whole package. If I did it again I would only buy one of them. The good feet salesman did call me after 4 days to see how my inserts were working and offered adjustments if I was having problems.

It has been a year. I am still wearing my inserts. I have no pain any more and am back to hiking and hunting all day.

This was my experience, and is not made up. These products may not help everyone but they did help me.

I suppose that they might not work for everyone. However my partner has terrible bunions, neuropathy and deformed nails that make her feet very uncomfortable. Multiple times a day I would hear complaints about her feet, they hurt, they tingled, they felt like stumps. Many pairs of (unworn) shoes and (unused) foot gadgets later I took her to Good Feet.  Immediately after trying the Exerciser she stood up straighter than I have every seen and said "I have no pain or discomfort at all."  She walked around the store. Trying the different inserts (maintainer and relaxer)...    We bought the set.   
She followed the instructions to a T. Gradually increasing time with the exerciser, using the maintainer and the relaxer also. Never, ever going barefoot.  I kept waiting for the complaints about her discomfort. They never came back.  Now this was not yesterday or last week, this was five months ago.  She is still comfortable, is walking much more, and her knees and hips also feel great. Did I mention she is nearly 80? 
I am impressed with the time taken at the Santa Rosa Good Feet Store by Dennin with her. Then follow up phone calls. And today I went in and got myself fitted for my own set. 

I am a real customer!  LOL!

I've had severe flat feet my whole life.  Before moving to Denver, I had purchased inserts from a similar/same company in Phoenix.  My dog had chewed up my very expensive plastic inserts, so I purchased a new pair from GoodFeet here in the Denver area.

I knew what I wanted going in and didn't let them pitch me anything.  I left with a similar replacement and I was on my way.

Regarding their selling tactics both in Phoenix and Denver, I can do without it and feel someone not as knowledgable can be taken advantage of and made to pay out the nose.

I agree that for a 50 cent piece of plastic, $250 is ridiculous; PERIOD!

Now, I will admit that these orthotic inserts have changed my life.  No question about it.  I only bought the one pair and have never hand any problems with it.  You can read numerous health studies and personal reviews about the matter.  I can stand, walk, run, etc longer than ever in my life (even longer than people without flat feet, they are that good).  I no longer have back or knee issues.

So anyone reading this thinking of getting some, consider getting just one pair and don't buy into any package deal.  If you can find similar inserts for less, go for it.  But unfortunately I can't find inserts that can withstand my flat feet and provide the relief that these can.  So until the price comes down, I would recommend getting just one pair.

Just keep in mind they hurt at first.  The ligaments/bones in your feet, knees and back all have to readjust which is painful initially, but stick with it.  I could only wear mine like 1 hour a day to start.  I gradually increased it and now wear them every waking hour and they are the most comfortable things I have.

Flat feet is a pain, literally.

But I am here, as a consumer, to say they worked for me. 

It was the best thing I have done for myself in that last few years.  I will agree that all three supports really are not needed.  If I did it over again I would of just bought the work/exercise supports.  But I can't complain, after about three months the pain in my foot was completely gone, along with my calluses from my high arches.  Maybe that it why they worked for me, because my arches are high.  And I just needed support.  I'm not sure if people with flatter feet achieve the same results.   

Just because they don't work for everyone doesn't mean it's a scam.  I've talked to friends who have plantar fasciitis who got special supports from a doctor and got no results.  My father, had plantar fasciitis when I was younger (thanks for those genetics!) and he walked around on crutches, got special supports, and then finally had the surgery.  

 It's unfortunate they didn't work for you.  I feel your pain. Plantar Fasciitis sucks!

Isnt it interesting the amount of time Good Feet spends on Ripoff Report defending itself? Yet through all of this, they have yet to say yes, we agree our return policy is repeatedly misrepresented by our sales staff and it is impossible for someone to try our pieces of plastic to see if they actually work (like we ask customers to do) when their money really disappears at the moment of the sale therefore we have significantly revised our store policies in an effort to stop ripping people off. Gee, that doesnt seem to be happening.

Heres what to expect if you shop at Good Feet. Dont believe me? Feel free to read the numerous other ripoff reports submitted by people all across the continent. The shared experiences seem to have a lot of similarities.

? Deceptive, overworked, underpaid staff that will say ANYTHING to get you to buy these things.

? Say goodbye to your money. Hopefully the pieces of plastic will work for you. If they dont, you will never see your money again. Its gone.

? Icky, scratched (with dirt in the scratches), color-smudged and definitely unclean inserts that have been worn and returned by other people given to you for hundreds of dollars, yet cant be returned for refund for hygienic reasons.

? Plan on months of runaround if the pieces of plastic dont work for you. First you can count on months of painful and time-consuming refits. After that you can depend on a slew of unreturned phone calls and hand-offs from person to person who cant seem to help you but will be happy to get back to you sometimenext week. Dont be surprised by the extraordinary number of vacations that people seem to be on when youre waiting for return calls.

? At best, you might be able to get a significantly-reduced store credit. This is fine if you like really ugly shoes, overpriced socks, and a fine selection of heavy slippers in the middle of summer.

Now, let me just take a moment to respond to the so-called customer who had such a delightful experience that he/she posted a rebuttal. Oh, Im so happy for you! If you even exist! And if you do exist, you pompous, sanctimonious figment of someones imagination, spare us your righteous and omnipotent-yet-totally-wrong version of my experience. I spent months trying to get the store to give me the right pieces of plastic. Every time Id go in, the clerk would shake his/her head and say I should have never been given the last set of plastic pieces. And then theyd bring out new pieces, insisting theyd be perfect. Keep in mind this sales person would usually be running between 3-4 other customers at the same time. It was a monumental waste of time. I gave each set of plastic many weeks to work even though they were often painful and, according to the sales clerks, the wrong fit. I was Minnesota-polite to the sales clerks each time I went in, even though they were clearly blowing smoke up my skirt and telling me a bunch of lies in order to get me out of the store with an endless stream of ill-fitting plastic parts. In the end, I spoke with several managers, numerous times, who often had some very revealing things to say about the store, its practices, and its owner under their breath.

So to you, Most-Likely-Made-Up-Imaginary-Customer, if you exist, why not pull your head out and recognize that you dont know squat about what I experienced or what I did for months on end to try to make this expensive product work for me. If you want to write about your own imaginary and wonderful experience, fine. But spare us the judgments and assumptions about mine.

Yes, I fell for it. Im an idiot for spending nearly $600 on some flimsy and dirty pieces of plastic. I wanted so badly to believe that these things could help me with my pain. Yes I had buyers remorse. After many months of trying to make my investment work and finding, over and over, that the store doesnt stand behind any of its agents claims. Im a complete idiot just like the millions of other people who have, through the centuries, spent their hard-earned money on some version of snake oil with the deluded hope that somehow it will ease their pain and help them live happier lives.

But at least Im an idiot who wants to share the experience so others can make better and more informed buying decisions.

I saw a negative report on this site about Goodfeet. I have to say if the person that filed the report spent as much time using the product as trying to return it, it would have not been a problem.

The fact is the inserts are going to hurt at first. I was unable to run or even walk fast for 20 years. I fiqured I would be in pain for the rest of my life so I gave up trying.

I saw the ad and bought the inserts. I started using them and yes they hurt at first. They were doing their job reforming my foot....so of course they are going to hurt. After a month as my foot adjusted my severe plantar fasitis went away. I was able to run again and I lost 50 lbs in 4 months

I had spent $1000's on other treatments and was looking at surgery. I tried these and for $500.00 my problem was fixed. I really only needed the "max" inserts for $250 but bought the whole set.

One cracked and they replaced it and in fact gave me two sets. It is a great company with a great product !!!! As a matter of fact I just took my 80 year father down to get a set. I bought the first set in Lakewood Colorado and just bought a second set in Fairlawn Ohio.
