Members of the press WAKE UP! Why all this excellent media hype re: " Good search? -which FYI should be called Bad search! Goodsearch.com only gives half a penny to the charities and non-profits they claim they are helping. Several credible media sources have been fooled into giving Goodsearch "good press" when in essence, goodsearch is "bad!". They are owned by 12 people, and yahoo pays sponsored links at least 10-20 cents per click. That means the 12 owners of Goodsearch.com are pocketing the money they claim is helping a multitude of non-profits! What a scam! There are more credible ways of helping non-profits on the internet, companies that give 10 cents per click. Good search is not one of them! Why is it that the money that is supposed to go to non-profits, always ends up being trickled down to barely anything once it reaches its destination? From helping save children, to hunger programs, (I am not stating any specific non-profit, just giving examples)we give a lot of money that ultimately is kept by the corporate giants, and the amount that actually goes to charities is almost nil. But goodsearch really has the media scammed! A kindergartner can do the math. If yahoo pays 10cents for sponsored links, then why is goodsearch only paying 1/2 a penny??? It took 3 simple internet searches for me to figure this out, and believe me, I am not a technological genius, I am technologically challenged and I figured it out! Yet goodsearch has been glamorized in the media from TV talk shows, to radio shows, to print , to magazines the list is too long  to print. WAKE UP FELLOW JOURNALISTS! The REAL story of Good search is it is a "Bad Search" What is up with my fellow journalists and reporters? The evidence is right under your nose! DO the math! 9 1/2 cents goes to the 12 owners of Good search, and less than 1/2 a penny, goes to the charity! (and this info is FROM Goodsearch  site itself!)  I would never write a story about goodsearch as a press member, as I would be helping to perpetuate the scam that is preying on good wholesome Americans who wish to give to charities with their hard earned dollars, and goodsearch is keeping 991/2% of the profits that the person who uses their search bar intends to give to the charity. Shame on you journalists and TV reporters who are "pitching "goodsearch" as a good way to help non-profits. There are other ethical companies that are actually paying 10 cents to the non-profits, companies with excellent ratings with the BBB and that intend to make a real difference in the world via internet searches and shopping. And Good search is not one of them!  Thank you for listening! Dr. PHD Journalist/Press  member

GoodSearch explained

AUTHOR: GoodSearch - (United States of America)

Dr. PHD,

Unfortunately, your analysis of GoodSearch is incorrect.  Our company, as promised, pays a full 50% of our search revenue when a user designates his/her favorite cause on our site.  For the past six years this has ranged from a penny to 1.3 cents per search and we have now donated close to $10 million to charities and schools across the country.

It looks like youre confusing revenue earned per search vs. the revenue earned when a user clicks on a sponsored listing.   The vast majority of searches do not result in a user clicking on a sponsored link and thus generate no revenue for GoodSearch.  However, we donate a penny per search, whether or not the user clicks on a sponsored link.

We are very proud of what weve created with GoodSearch, enabling millions of people to turn simple, everyday actions such as searching the Internet, into doing good.   In addition, were working hard on expanding our services, which also include GoodShop and GoodDining, and creating even more ways for people to easily support their favorite charities and schools.

We're also proud that our company has been fully vetted by the media and are partnered with more than 100,000 charities and schools.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please dont hesitate to contact us directly.  Youll find that were very accessible.  Just click on the contact us link at the bottom of our home page and well get right back to you.
