goodwill in atascadero ca 93422 Im writing this complaint because the goodwill industries have gotten very expensive, Im on a fixed income and used the goodwill for all my house hold and clothing needs, Im appaulled at how they can charges high prices for donated stuff, sometimes more then the item was. atascadero, California

I find it really sad that people like myself on a fixed income cant even afford to shop at the goodwill like i use to, goodwill charges whatever they feel like charging, this is donated items and they have charged more then original prices sometimes, I think its a greedy company anymore, and they also are getting picky about what people donate, understandably on junk but i thought the goodwill was supposed to help people not rip them off, i wont shop there anymore theyve become high priced and that makes me sick they shouldnt be allowed to charge what they want, if this keeps up i hope they close there doors when people stop shopping there.

I find it in saying what goodwill does to their customers

Everything that they get in their store is absolutely free and what I have found out is that you can go to a department store and buy items brand-new for less than what you can get them for a Goodwill. What I have noticed it when you go to the Goodwill to buy something that you might need for you home or to put Clothes on your child's back You will take A chance of buying clothes that are absolutely filthy that nobody At Goodwill will spend time washing the clothes before they hang them on hangers for you to take a look at
They get dirty clothes for free they refused to wash them and they expect you to pay more than what you would pay in a department store God only knows what kind of stains they have on their sheets that they put on the rack for sale. I'm sure you can go to Walmart and buy a brand-new sheets for less than what you could pay for them at Googwill without the pecker tracks.
What people need to do When they go to Goodwill for any purchase. Bring the cart load of crap up to the counter and let them ring everything up. And then decide you don't want to buy the cart full because you feel they're charging too much and walk away.
They say that they do good things for the community but they never release any statements showing their actions. If they were helping the community they would sell their clothes and their merchandise in a cost-effective manner so the people that shop there can afford to go there. I find the prices at Goodwill are insane.
I think it's time we the public get the goodwill of piece of our minds and start donating elsewhere.
