Grant Search Assistant is a total rip off and should be avoided...When I first signed up for this service it was with the understanding that it was only going to cost $1.95. Then the monthly service charges started. I canceled the service a long time ago and just recently the charges appeared again on my credit card statement.

When I tried to contact the company, I was unable to reach anyone during the time that I call (guess it was after hours). However, I don't feel like I should have to continue to contact this company to cancel a service that has been canceled previously. This feels like and smells like a huge rip off to me. Appreciate any help you can provide to stop this madness or to a least help the next person avoid this scam. Thank you.

#3 UPDATE Employee

Resolution Offer

AUTHOR: Ryan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 31, 2007

I would like to discuss Carla's concerns with her to insure that she is taken care of. Unfortunately, without a last name or an email address I cannot find her account with the necessary contact information.

First and foremost I offer an apology for the breakdown in service Carla obviously experienced. Our policy is to never charge anyone who is not interested the membership portion of the offer. Clients simply need to follow the instructions to contact customer support at 1-866-396-5718 Monday-Friday 9 am - 9 pm Eastern Time and express a desire to cancel during the free trial period, or anytime thereafter.

If our support staff fails to offer the quality and professionalism that we expect to provide then I would personally like to know about it so that I can resolve the issue in-house so that it doesn't continue to happen. I also guarantee to personally see to it that anyone who has had a negative experience with our staff or company is satisfied. I can be reached on my cell phone at 435-773-1795 or via email at ryanr@wskc.org. Once again, my apologies to Carla. Hopefully, I will hear from her soon so that we can get this resolved.

Sincerely,

Ryan R.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Dispute it.

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

I would call your credit card company and dispute this billing. The CC can verify that the billing stopped for a period of time and then "magically" restarted.

You should probably send a certified, return requested letter to Grant Search Assistant to demand that they cease any and all attempt, including future attempts to bill you for this CANCELLED service. I would include a statement to the effect that ANY future attempts to rebill this service will be considered a deliberate attempt to fraudulently obtain funds without persmission and appropriate criminal fraud complaints will be made at the federal, state and local level.

Good luck.
