Hello everyone, this happens to me at the start of the year, 2009.

One day, I was looking through the papers and saw an amazing recruitment ad. I was fancinated by "a new movie company recruiting public relation officer, marketing executive, management trainees and etc"

I was amused, so I hurried and call them for an interview. The admin officer, Jamie, arranged an interview for me.

It was smooth-sailing, I went for 3 rounds of interview and "ta-dah" I was officially the employee of Granton Marketing.

When I first join, I was hired as Marketing Executive when I was applying for the Public Relations position. But I was cool, I accepted it because they were paying me good money. Coming to know that the admin officers real name was Jasmine and was told by her that Granton had posted a few different recruitment ads with fake names to get just 2 Marketing Executive and all other positions were sales.

I worked for one week, and all I did was walking around the whole of Singapore finding people to let us use their names to sell self-proclaimed "good deal" cards. I happened to drop-by a cafe at Holland Village which the asst. manager of the cafe was previously a employee of Granton. He told me all about the scams and I thought it was funny. Once I went back to the office, I told my boss what happened.

1 day later, I was asked to leave because they say Granton could not afford one more person. I realise it might be because I knew about the scams. And my salary, so fortunate, came in 1 month after I left the company.
