I had a HP Mini Laptop for sale on Craig's List and actually had two hits for buys wanting me to send it to Nigeria. This report is for the second. I had it for sale for $250.00 while I was emailing with the other fradulant person this person offered to pay me $280.00 plus $120.00 for shipping. It seemed kind of fishy to me, but I said ok. This person wanted to pay by paypal. I thought was legit. I got emails saying funds have been transferred and are pending the item being shipped. Since I had never received money by paypal before I didn't know how it worked. Thankfully, when I went to the postoffice to mail the laptop the mailperson told me that there have been alot of scams from Nigeria and that he has used Paypal numerous times before and you get your money right away. What I found out is that these people have gotten smart about these scams and started a website called service@paypal.com which is NOT!!!! the same as www.paypal.com which is used by ebay. SO DO NOT BE FOOLED!! I almost did! So I did not mail the laptop and checked my paypal account and nothing was there. I email this person and they assured me that the money was already taken from there credit card and all I had to do was ship the item and verify it with the tracking number and the funds will be released. I told them I am sending an expensive item, money first! So if you are going to sell anything please put on there that you will not ship outside the United States. Be Careful Everyone. Thanks
