This report is about Green Tree Home Serving.  Storm damage to our home was on 4-27-14.  Our insurance company paid in a timely manner. $32,000 some dollars.  This of course went to our Mortgage company, Green Tree.  They paid us an initial $16,000 to fix the roof, about 12 screens, guttering, repainting porch side of the house and deck repair.  Do you think $16,000 would cover this.  It doesn't.  We have had the roof finished, are painting the deck and repairing ourselves since we can't afford to hire someone.  We are at the point of things need to be done that we cannot do.  Green Tree keeps needing items, certain receipts, etc.  We have sent them and had their people say this is all we need, we will send out the next check for $8000 in 7 to 10 business day.  So we are quiet for 7 to 10 business days.  Then we receive another letter.  They need the same receipts.  They have assigned our case to a specific person, however, when you call they will not let us speak to her.  "She is busy", I can help you.  Our mortgage payments are paid in the same month due but not before the late fee because of my husband's lay off.  We literally have until April of 2016 and we are paid off and our house is worth about $320,000.  There have been times that we didn't know if we were going to make a payment and have been yelled at by the customer service people.  I believe his name was Kevin, but who really knows.  He said the minute I hung up if I did not make a time for the payment to come out of my checking account, he was putting our home in foreclosure.  We are racking up late fees.  We NEED our insurance money to complete our repairs.  I'm not sure if this claims department gets a bonus for keeping money as long as possible but it has been 7 months and now it is getting cold and painting will be difficult.  Never use this company.  We were sold by Bank of America to these people.  My friend had a doublewide that she paid off after her husband died and it took her 2 years to get the title from Green Tree.  This is obviously a sub-prime lender.  So what does that make me, a sub-prime customer?
