GreenDot.com Employment Scam involving Macy's employment internet

This is a response to a warehouse position listed on Craigslist involving GreenDot.com.  This is a scam when we received this response to sending a resume via email on Craigslist.  This response was received at 4:27am after posting the resume at 6:11pm the day before.  Verified through Macy's that this is not the way the advertise for positions.  Macy's only posts true available positions on the web site.  Below is the response we received from the resume posting indicating you must complete the "payroll registration" and then they will call you or email you regarding your position.  If GreenDot.com is any kind of business they should be involved in this fraud.  Maybe they ARE part of the fraud.

 As mentioned in the job posting, this position offers a
generous starting wage, plus a full benefit package, as well as periodic pay
increases and advancement opportunities. This is a full-time (40 hours per
week) position. Each employee's starting hourly wage will be based on his or
her experience level, which will be determined once the recruiting process has
been completed. Experience working in a similar environment is helpful, but not
required, as fully paid training is provided.

 At this time, we are staffing very aggressively, and are
prepared to make you a firm employment offer. Typically we conduct multiple
in-person interviews with each candidate. However, due to increased staffing
needs, we have greatly expedited the hiring process.

One of the main ways we have expedited our hiring process
is by streamlining the payroll into a fast, easy, electronic system, versus the
old-fashioned paper check method. The way it works is that you will be assigned
your choice of a Visa or MasterCard, completely free of charge and without
credit check, into which we will deposit your weekly earnings. Not only does
this method result in employees getting paid faster, it also functions as a
form of citizenship verification; as stated in the ad you must be qualified to work
in the US for any employer.  Please note
that even if you already have a bank account, Visa, or MasterCard, we will

assigned to you.  If you simply prefer
paper checks, ask your manager and he or she will accommodate you. Regardless,
it is a requirement for all employees to register for the online payroll
program for citizenship verification purposes.
