GuardPoint Security LLC in Baton Rouge Louisiana is a ripoff and a scam of a job. I gained employment with them a few months ago and upon hire I was told that paydays are every Wednesday when paychecks are put in the mail and employees have their checks by that Thursday or Friday.
After several weeks and hearing from other officers that they had not been paid in 5 weeks or more I asked one of my supervisors about it. I was told that "you start getting paid 4 weeks after hire to allow the paperwork to get to the state and the FBI and back to the state."
After my fourth week of work when I had still yet to have been paid, I started asking my supervisors about being paid. I was told they would look into it, they would have it corrected and I should look for my pay in the mail the following Wednesday.
Having to ask and beg for the wages I properly earned is not becoming of me since I am a grown man. I arrived at the office on a day after our "payday" and overheard the owner of the company state he didn't have my pay and I needed to return the following day.
Trying to contact my supervisors the following day was futile since they never answered their phones and no answer came from the office phone after I called there as well.
These people offer jobs to people that need them, work them until they are broke or bankrupt, and never pay any of their officers, aside from their office staff, family and friends. The basic officers that work high risk posts are left to struggle until they quit and allowed to find themselves in a severe financial hardship due to the actions of the Owner's and Operators of GuardPoint Security LLC.
I have gone to the Louisiana State Work Commission Force Office (Department of Labor) who effectively informed me that an employer can do as they will and I would have to handle the situation in civil court. They had no interest in handling an apparent Illegal employment organization that falls right under their jurisdiction.
So the basic's of what I am saying here is that, if you need security services, don't hire GuardPoint Security LLC. Their officers at the posts are good hard working people that are not being paid by the owners and operators of the company. There is a high turn around at the company due to their inept ability and unwilling nature to rightfully pay those that have worked for them.
I have heard from other former officers, that after hounding and hounding the company and Owners they were given a check to quiet them down. The check bounced when they cashed it. So that should also give an incite to the behavior and actions of the owners of this company.
As for my particular situation I do have copies of all my documentation and records to back up all I have written here. I am looking to other sources and avenues to have these people handled. They use Criaglist.com to post their ads and offer jobs. Nothing wrong with the work. Only major issue is their failure to pay hard working persons for the work they do.

To date since writing my original report, I will admit that I was shocked to see that GuardPoint Security decided to send me my first paycheck. The reason I am shocked is mainly because they claimed that I had already been paid for a set of hours that I was shorted by them as well as been given an advancement from them.

I never received any money from this company until yesterday and I am floored that they are claiming such atrocities. The funny part is that even after being given a copy of hours I had already worked for them, they were unable to lie properly about the information given out. Amazingly enough, they still haven't paid me my last check along with the original money that had been earned.

I still urge people to find other lines of employment aside from GuardPoint Security. The company is a fraud and forges information to make you look like you are in the wrong. I am open to showing documentation of all the information in both of these reports.

I will place other updates as they come through. If you are reading this and have been or you know someone that has worked for this company and suffered the same situations, place a post here and I can help direct you in the way to obtaining what you or they have rightfully worked for.
