GYC Ministries Timothy Newkirk CON ARTISTS/ SCAMMERS Buffalo

GYC Ministries is a nonprofit organization owned by Timothy Newkirk. It was opened in January of this year (2016). The owner is a con artist and a thief. He was working under a Rashard Davis/ Global Resale Center earlier in 2016. My friend purchased a vehicle from Global Resale Center from Mr. Newkirk. He was to put $1,500 down and finance the rest. I gave cash to Timothy and obtained a recipt for the down payment. After picking up the vehicle, we found there were massive electrical problems with the throttle body unit that made the vehicle cut off on us while we were driving. We notified Tim and he told us to bring it back to get fixed. When we tried, we kept getting the run around. Finally, Tim sent us to a mechanic and the mechanic said he had fixed the problem. A day later, the check engine light came back on and the car still was cutting off. We kept getting the run around when we called Mr. Newkirk about the issues. We had to bring the vehicle back 10'xs for the same problem.

Finally, we got sick of it and just brought the van back. At that time, we advised Rashard Davis that we wanted the money back due to the vehicle being a lemon and we were told that Timothy never gave him the $1,500 so he couldn't give it back. He said Tim stole the money and we had to go after him for it. I advised him that that wasn't our problem as Global Resale sold us the vehicle and it is his employee. He then proceeded to say that Tim owned his own car dealership and didn't work for him. Well then why did he sell us the car and why was the recipt from Global Resale Center? Overall, we ended up having to sue both Rashard and Timothy and the business. We just recently won a judgement in the amount of $1,500.

Everytime we collect, they hang up on us and have their office manager give us the run around. Now I have to go through the process of reporting them to the DMV to get their licenses suspended. It is ridiculous that I have to go through all this because these guys scammed and conned my friend out of $1,500 for a vehicle that didn't even operate. I would not donate to this orghanization as the owner is a thief. Your donations will go towards lining his pockets and not to the cause itself. He is a con artist and from what I found online, a criminal. Please donate to an actual cause. Please do not support this thief.
