H and H Tile and Coping came to my home in March 09 to remodel my entire pool , new plaster and all. I chose one of the most expensive types of plaster they have. It is called Midnight Blue Diamond Brite. The remodel was going as planned until the end. The blue color never came out like it was intended. This is when the nightmare started. Anthony was my rep on the project. He started to drag his feet when I anticipated there was a problem with the color. I was very reasonable until he started ignoring my phone calls. After I complained for a few weeks to thier office, someone finally came out and said it was messed up and would have to be drained and redone from scratch. Then after a few weeks they finally showed up on thier own schedule and drained my pool. Then it took another week or more to put the plaster in and fill it back up. I immediatly knew thier was a problem before they filled my pool, but again they ignored me for a few more weeks until they finally came out and said it was messed up again. There was little contact from that point, until I forced them to make a promise that they will fix it. Once again they are ignoring my phone calls.I paid alot of money for this, What do I do !!

Daniel, I had a similar problem with the Diamond Brite plaster, only it was a different company that messed up the installation. I ended up hiring H and H Tile to perform the remedial work and Anthony was my rep on the job. My experience was much different than yours. I found Anthony to be very responsive to my inquiries. The Diamond Brite that H and H installed turned out beautiful. Diamond Brite is not an easy plaster to install.
There are many variables that can lead to an undesireable result. Before hiring H and H, I had the Diamond Brite representative visit my pool to look at the plaster and he stated that because it is a natural product, the end result will not always look like the sample, and water chemistry can greatly affect the final look. Even though my pool looks good now, I would never recommend Diamond Brite to anyone. Although it will last a long time, the visual results on the darker colors is very risky.
My recommendation to you is to call Diamond Brite directly if you cannot get a response from Anthony at H and H. You are still within your warranty period.
