DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY HAIER AMERICA. THIS COMPANY HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THEIR PRODUCTS ARE TERRIBLE AND THEY WILL LIE TO YOU ABOUT GETTING RE-IMBURSED. THIS IS MY TRUE STORY AND I AM SPREADING THIS ALL OVER THE WEB INCLUDING HAIER'S FACEBOOK PAGE. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED, YOU TELL ME IF I SHOULD BE PISSED:

About a year ago, March 2012, I purchased a brand new Haier America microwave at Home Depot. The microwave worked great for about 6 months, until October, when one day it only heated up 1 half of my plate and then CAUGHT FIRE when I tried to re-heat the same plate of food. There were flames shooting out of the back of the microwave. So I put out the fire, and called Home Depot. According to Home Depot (and the receipt and warranty I have) Home Depot is only responsible for a refund within 3 months after purchase, after that the manufacturer, Haier, is responsible. I called Haier, was given a ticket #, and told to mail in the sticker from the back of the microwave, copies of the recipt, warranty and other paperwork, which I did. Haier received everything and when I called to see if they had received the package, the agent told me that yes it had been received and that they would replace the microwave with the same model or a similar one. They said I could think about it and had time to decide. Well, after some thought I decided I'd rather have a complete refund, because I don;t want a product that could possibly catch fire, so I called and asked Haier if I could have a refund. The agent informed me that a refund would have to be approved bytheir refund approval department, and that someone would review my case and get back to me within 5 business days. He said if they didn;t approve the refund I could still have a replacement microwave.

This was back in December 2012!! I have not heard a word from anyone at Haier, and when I call I am given the same run around that someone will call me back within 5 business days!! I call them at least 4 times a week and get the same bull! I have emailed dozens of times and gotten the same form letter response each and every time! This is very bad customer service, and should not be going on this long! At this point, I am now reporting them to better business bureau, channel 8 news and whoever else I can to get the word out about how terrible this company is.
