DON'T EVER SHOP AT HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS ON MARKET STREET IN SADDLE BROOK, NEW JERSEY!!!!! The store is run by a bunch of retarded idiots! They are understaffed, short on stock & brains, & do not always give a sales receipt so that if you try to return a product for a refund they will NOT do it! Why, They will not even give you a STORE CREDIT! Currently, the Better Business Bureau in Trenton, NJ is handling a very aggravating complaint I brought against them.

I'm warning all of you viewers to BEWARE & not have to go through what I'm going through. That store SUCKS bigtime in plain English. I just cannot believe that the CEO who runs this company practices such poor business practices as I have just mentioned. I can't believe that they've been in business as long as they have.

Actually, the quality of the tools is not that bad. It's the STAFF that they hire to run the stores. I have some tools that I previously purchased that did OK but It's not worth the aggravation of going there. So, after all of this is over & settled I'll NEVER go back there again & shop at Home Depot or another store instead. At least, I know at Home Depot, they will take back items & offer refunds & store credits. That I do know. Harbor Freight should learn from them but they don not.

Return Policy

Harbor Freight Tools Return Policy is really straight forward
it says in the basic form that you have 90 days to return any product that you are not satisfied with.
the store should offer you either a replicable item or your money back just as long as you have a receipt
(if its broken, parts missing, wrong item, not needed, open box, used, ect...just as long as you have the receipt it should be returnable)
The Only questions asked to you after you return an Item is "whats wrong with it" and basic information about you (Ie: Phone number, name and address) only so the store can keep a record.

When it comes to store credit the store will not offer it due to the leniency of its Return Policy because come on its easy just as long as you have your receipt.

The reason why they don't accept a product without it, even though its clear that it is a product sold at harbor fright, is simple how would they know how much to give you seeing as said product could have been sold to you at a multitude of different prices (ie. with a 20% off coupon you would have 20% more money in your pocket then what you bought the product for)

THEY WON'T EVEN GIVE A "STORE CREDIT"

AUTHOR: handyandy005 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, August 03, 2012

Never mind the lost or missing sales receipt. One week after purchase, with the merchandise still in the bag & brand new, they would not even give or offer a compromise: store credit. I had to ask them about it & was promptly told "NO!". Plus, the rude, belligerent, & stubborn attitude of the cashier was totally WRONG! HARBOR FREIGHT HIRES THESE CHARACTERS & PROBABLY TRAINS THEM TO ACT IN THIS MANNER. Not a good business practice because it aggravates, frustrates, & CAUSES customers to stay away & shop ELSEWHERE! Now, If that is not a poor business practice then I don't know what else could be. Soon, I expect the Saddle Brook store to be wrapped in a yellow ribbon for failure to pay rent or taxes & they will "BE OUT OF BUSINESS" like they wanted.

So you're saying you lost or forgot to take your receipt and they won't do a return without it right?
