Harry Davis & Company Deceptive & False Statements & Over Charging Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

I recently purchased some auction items via webcast live auction held by Bidspotter.com  The auctioneer of this asset sale was Harry Davis & Company. 

When Item 1617 came up if was recorded and sold to me as 504 bags of prepackaged 50lb bags of deicing salt for $3.00 per bag plus fee's. 

When our semi arrived at the auction location of Unliver/Alberto Culer in Melrose Park, IL.  The count ended up being clearly falsified by the auction house not only verbally during the auction, also in their catalog.  Since paying for these types of auctions are by bank wire transfer prior to picking up I had already paid for the 504 bags. 

The actual legitimate count was 424 bags 80 bags short of what Harry Davis & Company stated at the sale.  Their people on site signed off on the lot being short.  

I contacted Harry Davis & Company several times trying to get this remedied professionally and honestly. Asking them to refund the $240 overcharge along with the 18% fee on the misrepresented count.  Almost 3 weeks now they refused to even respond to my emails and phone calls.  I also reached out to bidspotter and so far have not heard anything from them either. So consider that if you are a auction bidder, because you are on your own. We live in an age of scumbags who hide behind digital technology. 

Total scamers. 

I suggest, that anyone who is considering buying at auction from this company or who may consider using this company to liquidate assets look elsewhere.  Integrity in the auction business is everything and this company has absolutely ZERO. In fact they clearly misrepresented this lot for profit. Scumbags out fit if you ask me. 

If they make this right I will update this complaint since my integrity in worth more then $280
