It is suspect enough, especially in this economy, when a company interviews you for a short amount of time and immediately moves you to the next step. For them that next step is an "orientation". Here's what that is: A one way conference call with no ability to ask questions or chat, by on of their "VP's" that spends 45 minutes of the 1 hr talking about the 2 products (LegalShield , and Indentity something or another) and almost no time talking about the job you are applying for. Can you spell r-e-d f-l-a-g? You must buy the products yourself before being considered for employment. That is a way of them getting customers. They claim they require this so you know the products when you are talking to clients. How many of you have had to buy the products your company sells in your jobs?.. So you see where this is going and won't insult your intelligence on what this is called...... You can read more on the deceptive methodologies from them, and you should if you are considering them.
As an aside, I did buy the products (for 1 month, then cancelled after searching more on this company) and did have the opportunity to call LegalShield on a minor family legal matter for advice. I would rate the advice and the approach as a C-. Advice was mediocre at best and the appraoch was to rush you off the phone. But lawyers are busy people so I will not completely judge it one experience. I then declined any employment consideration from Harvard "Benefits". Most business opportunities that don't smell good up front usually don't taste good going forward. This is one of them.
