We have spent thousands of dollars with this company. We foolishly thought since we knew the owner he would be honest and competent. They installed a heater and airconditioner. We spent the whole summer trying to get the air conditioning to work

the A/C unit kept flooding the carpet. They came out 4 times to fix it. They charged us every time even though they installed the unit. Finally they said a part was put in backwards. do you think they refunded our money? No way. did they return all the service fees for their mistake?. No way

now we are doing accounting and book keeping. WE could not find all our invoices for what this company charged us. when we contacted Hayward company suddenly they had no invoices at all and said we need to give the the serial number of the "part" to track it down. 

so they even did summer tune ups three years in a row. How in the world would that have a serial number? we are going to have to go to court to get the invoices i guess. [continued below]....

..... Hayward keeps claiming they do not keep records of thier work. i know only someone that does not keep records needs to be checked out by the IRS. do not use them if you want to be charged fairly and want them to put in a part the right way. never use them if you want copies of your payments (thousands).

John Hayward AC company is not as you described

 Sounds like you had an unfortunate experience with Mr. Haywards company 3 years ago. Since I and 3 of my neighbors had a very different experience recently, think this should be included in the comments. He recently Aug/2015 installed a new unit in my home. He and his crew were thorough, did quality work and cleaned up everything perfectly. His prices are extremely competitive and he is just a genuine, nice person. Would highly recommend him for new AC units.

Hayward Air never gave invoices

John Hayward air finally responded to our BBB complaint. He said, "they are exaggerating." We never got the invoices at all he refused totally. The end of the tail is this BBB was blowing us off until I called National Headquaters. Then Dallas BBB did what they should. He was allowed to say , "we4 Exaggeraated" we responded with were are the invoices. He got so mad at the BBB for being called to the task he quit the BBB.   Do not do business with this company. How can a company in the computer age NOT have invoices HA! Thank you rip off report
