Heatworks jack.callahan@isitechnology.com I purchased the Heatworkshot water booster in Jan 2016 at Lowes for $528. I was very excited aboutthis product. I paid approx $450a licensed electrician and licensed plummer to install it.When we turned it on the codes on the unit said the unit was not working. due to technical problems. I called the company and explained what happened. They said they would refund my money or send me a new unit.I opted to have them send me another one. I asked Heatworks about reimbusing me for the cost of reinstalling, another $450,they said no. I will recommend anyone not to buy this product. South Carolina

I called the company and explained what happened. They said they would refund my money or send me a new unit.I opted to have them send me another one. I asked Heatworks about reimbusing me for the cost of reinstalling, another $450,they said no. So I had to pay the contractors again. They installed the unit while on speaker phone with one of Heatworks techs guiding them. A few weeks later I came home and found my house was flooding from the unit, and then caught on fire. I called the fire department and they came out. They said we were very lucky the house didn't burn down, and I was very lucky that I wasn't electicuted when I went into the room to put the fire out.My family was asleep while all this was going on, I can't imagine what would have happened if I didn't get home in time.I was very upset,I called the company the next day, I had to leave a message, they didn't call me back for nearly two days. Jack Callahan was very stern in telling me that they had no intention to reimbuse me or take any responsibility for their unit. He said it was my fault for letting unlicensed contractors to put the unit in, he called me a liar when I told hom they were licensed,I sent them thei receipts with company info on them, clearly showining they were licensed. I had to pay the plummer and electrician for a third time to take out the burned unit. They said don't call anymore, and when I told them that I will seek legal action, they threatened me. Quote from Jack, "be very careful what you say or do,or we will seek legal action agaisnt you". I was forunate that Lowes decided to refund my money to me after I told them what happened to me,they were not happy about this company. Iam in the process of consulting with my lawyer. They could have avoided this. I will recommend anyone not to buy this product. South Carolina

Heatworks Installation

AUTHOR: Heatworks Technologies - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, July 29, 2016

In this particular situation, the customer unfortunately did not install the unit in accordance to the manufacturer's Installation and User Manual. The unit was replaced and a refund was also offered per the Heatworks warranty. However, no water heating company offers compensation for costs or damages incurred as a result of a faulty installation. This information is clearly stated in the product Installation and User Manual.
