Purchased $4500. worth of kitchen appliances from hhgregg. On the day of delivery the appliances arrived. The installers walk in my home, took one look at existing in cabinet dishwasher and state "we are not going to install your dishwasher". I asked "why" and they stated that LG Dishwashers are extremely difficult to install and it is almost impossible to get to the water and electrical connections.
The installers left me with a dishwasher still in the box. They put it in my garage. The offer from hhgregg was for free delivery and installation. Over the next three days and five trips to hardware store, I attempted and succeeded in this installation. When the front cover was taken off, both the electrical and water connections are built right in front so the installation would have been easy.
Naturally being untrained in appliance installation, it took me several evenings to understand and install this appliance. I feel mislead by advertisement for free installation and delivery. I cannot understand why hhgregg sent a installation team to my home who felt uncomfortable with LG Dishwashers.
hhgregg is reluctant to refund the installation and delivery fee. Those fees are free after mail in rebate. Since there was no installation, I cannot apply for rebate.
