on sept 16 I had called this hitech remodeling for an estimate on my kitchen. the person came and said his name was "Guy"and to just called him handsome guy, he never gave me a business card, and insisted I sign papers immediatly, saying that it was mandatory for me to have a mold test, and the bathroom that I was just considering, I really didn't want to bathroom done, he was highly manipulative, deceiving me to believe that this was a mandatory test, leading me on to believe that my insurance company would pay for this test. which they will not. He was insistive that this be done, I told him I was on a budget he didnt care. I signed papers not realizing that he was going to swindle me and was scamming me.

All I wanted was new counter top and a new sink, he sent me a picture of the most expensive sink he could find $400.I reminded him again I was on a budget. two hours prior to the mold test he called me and told me to close all the windows. In my view this was to create a false air quality sample of mold. He would not listen to me about my goals for my house,I was scammed for 2,400. for this mold test that I did not even want that he argued and insisted it was mandatory. He pressured me so highly i signed papers under duress in the hopes of upgrading my kitchen I got scammed. out 2,400. and no work performed.

After I realized that he had scammed me. I could no longer go forth with anything further as I could not trust him. He came several days later with the bogus mold test reaked of strong bad cologne and was demanding his money, he cheated me. buyer beware this guy is a con and out to deceive and scam whoever he can. I am a senior and cant afford to this. His intentions were to get funds out of me one way or the other regardless. i dont wish this contractor on any homeowner or anyone to go through what I went through with him. He insisted I write him a check vs. a credit card. He is very clever and underhanded. Buyer beware.

Response to Ms.Marino

AUTHOR: HI-TECH REMODELING GROUP - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, June 09, 2016

Hello Ms. Marino,

Ms. Marino requested a free consultation and was provided with one. Upon inspection of the areas where Ms. Marino had requested work the project manager noticed visible presence of mold.

Any licensed contractor knows that no work can be done in a home where there is mold until the mold is tested; this is done to prevent the crews and the resident from toxic mold.

Ms. Marino Agreed in a contract to the test (she had 3 days to cancel the contract if she desired to and never did) and all testing and reports where done by an independent mold lab and delivered to her.

Upon delivery of the results and re evaluation of the project, Ms. Marino signed a completion form where she states that she is satisfied with the services provided.

Hi-Tech Remodeling Group Inc. never heard any complaints, questions, dissatisfactions from Ms. Marino 'til months after completion of the services.

All contracts, reports and documentation are available for review.

Best Regards,

Ofir Maimon

Owner
