I purchased a used vehicle from Hidy Honda on April 20, 2012.  I was told the car was sold "as is," but that the dealership did a 26 point inspection on every used vehicle to make sure it was in good running condition.  13 miles after leaving the dealer lot, I started hearing a loud squeak that accompanied the rpm of the car.  The dealership had closed (it was Saturday) and was also closed on Sunday.  I called Monday morning and was put into the voicemail of the salesman (Mark).  He did not call me back, so on Tuesday, I called him and let him know that something was seriously wrong with the vehicle.  He told me at this time he would tell his manager to contact me.  Obviously, this never happened.  I took the vehicle to my regular mechanic I have used throughout the last 12 years.  The serpentine belt was broken, and the alternator belt needed to be replaced.  Not only that, the oil pan gasket was busted and leaking all over-it needed replaced.  Add to all of this, the power windows stopped working and the driver side window was stuck in the down position.  I continued to attempt contact with Hidy manager, who finally accepted my call on Friday after my purchase.  He was incredibly rude, almost yelling at me that the car was sold as is, and that if I would have contacted them on Monday (I told him I had) they could maybe have done something, but now that I had taken it somewhere else, they had no responsibility.

When I asked him how in the world the oil could have been changed (there was a sticker on the car stating the oil had just been changed) without the mechanic noticing a busted oil pan gasket, the manager said there was no such thing.

The worst part of this is the lack of any concern on Hidy Honda's part that their negligence had cost me an extra $750.00 when I am on a fixed income.  Never buy a car from this company.  They are deceptive, dishonest and probably breaking several consumer protection laws.  Go anywhere else and I'm sure you will be treated with respect deserved and not called a liar when you confront them with their horrific business practices.
