Hollywood Collectibles Group HGC Inaccurate Product and Rude, Insulting Customer Service Orlando Florida

I am a HUGE fan of the Rocky movies and have been wanting a replica belt for a long time. Finally, the news came that Hollywood Collectibles Group had been given the permission to produce a limited edition belt. I pre-ordered and eagerly waited while the months passed, as they kept delaying the release date. Eventually the date came and my belt arrived. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in it. Well, actually I will try to tell you.

First off, the description says it is made from "heavyweight case metal." The metal used is not heavy at all. It feels like tin. The entire belt weighs just over 2 pounds, so that will show you how lightweight the metal used is.

Second, and this is the worst part of all, twice in the description it states how this is a replica to the belt from the Rocky movies. It states that the belt "is accurate to the one seen throughout the Rocky series" and also states that it is "a faithful copy of the original prop." Neither of these statements could be further from the truth. What proves this is the fact that the images in the side plates are NOT the images that were on the belt in the movie. This belt has Rocky, Apollo, Clubber and Drago (who was never a champion so there should be no reason for him to be on a championship belt). The actual belt from the movies had John Sullivan, Rocky Marciano, Ken Norton (I think) and another boxer who I am unsure of. But it doesn't really matter who was in those original pictures. What does matter is that it was not the characters from the movie.

I called Hollywood Collectibles Group to inquire about this and encountered the rudest customer service I have ever encountered. When telling then that twice in their description they had misleading statements I was literally told to "shut up." They obviously do not care about their customers or take any pride in their work or products. (This could be why HCG has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.)

Do not purchase this Rocky belt for this outrageous price. You can find knock offs on the web for a little more but better quality and screen accurate. And, unless you want to be insulted if you have to call their customer service, do not purchase anything from this Hollywood Collectibles Group.
