In June of 2010 I became a "Hometender" for this company and was required to give $1300.00 plus for "fees and deposits". My security deposit of $695.00 was according to my "Hometending agreement" to be refundable. On Sept 21, 2010 I received an email from Barbra Hemblem the owners  of Hometenders daughter stating that as of that day the homeowners home was now in foreclosure and that I have 90 days to remain in the property under the Obama tenant act, and that if i receive any notices from anyone claiming to represent the bank to not believe them, and in the meantime rent is still due to them!  The next day I received a notice from the bank's attorney asking to notify them if the home is occupied so that they would not change the locks. I then spoke to Freddie Mac's attorney and she notified me that Hometenders no longer represent the owner, which was now the bank and to not pay them any fees from that point on. I would receive a notice regarding my opinions within a week.  She explained to me that Home tenders had an agreement with the previous homeowner who lost the home so therefor Hometenders no longer had any legal rights to the property. I placed a call to the Avondale non emergency number to ask an officer of my rights regarding this matter and how I should deal with hometenders if they try to enter into the property after the 21st. The officer couldn't give me legal advise but did inform me that I should contact them if they come to the property causing problems, and he would document my concern. On Oct 4, 2010 I emailed Barbra requesting my security deposit back from them. In my lease agreement it stated that if the home goes back to the homeowner and I rent from them then my deposit is non refundable but if it goes to a new owner which in this case is Freddie Mac, then my deposit is refundable.  She then replied that I had not giving then a 30 notice to vacate and that they needed to do a walk through of the home and get the keys back and at this point im not entitled to a refund of my deposit. I felt like they were trying to take full advantage of the situation, if this is their business they should know that once a homeowner loses their home to foreclosure they no longer have any legal rights to the property. The agreement Hometenders had with the previous homeowner became null and void once the homeowner lost the property, therefor my agreement became void as well. On Oct 7, 2010, I recieved 6 missed calls while I was at work and I listen to my 2 voicemail messages one was Barbra and the other her "Inspector" Eric Unser ranting about how he had come into the property by prying the security latch off the the front door and entered into the property while my son and his father were sleeping to retrieve the refrigerator that they placed into the property. Since im still occupying the property and haven't paid my monthy fees to them im now considered trespassing and a squatter and they will have me removed by the local authories. They then called the Avondale police department to inform them that I had "2 small children home alone while I was at work!"  What in the world, my son's father is 6ft 3inchs with salt and pepper hair, there is no way he looked like a small child! Once I recieved the voicemail I immediately headed home and called the police to meet me at the home.

When I arrived to the house the officer was waiting, and started explaining to him, he knew a few details about the situation from what previoud Ofc had noted from my previous call.  I explained to the Officer that they entered into the property without notice or permission they no longer any authority to just enter the home I showed the officer all of my doc from the banks attorney to back my side of the story and gave him the attorney's contact info. The Officer then informed me that he had received a call from Eric also regarding 2 small children being left alone.  I asked the Officer to enter the home and he would only find my son and his father the home. While I was explaining to the Officer Eric then pulled back up to the house and called Barbra and she then told the officer that "They" represent the bank and that I had no legal rights to be at the property! The officer then came into the house to tell me what Barbra had told him, so I then called the Attorney from Freddie Mac to let her speak to the officer directly. She then informed him that they are lying and that I am authorized to be at the property until a certain date.  I did allowed Eric to retreive their refrigerator with no problem and when he removed the water line for the icemaker it would not stop leaking. He attemped to just walk out and I said to him that I know that the line is not supposed to be leaking like that. He told me to go to the home depot and get a cap for it.  Well guess what it needed more that just a cap.  I had to call a plumber out to replace the entire valve which cost me $150.00 plus $50 for groceries that went bad while I found a frig to borrow. The police officer said Oh it was a simple misunderstanding and I don't believe that for one bit!  I've had problem after problem with hometenders once I signed the contract with them. From when I first agreed to pay the "background check fee" of $100 only to be billed to my debit card and they charged it for the full $1340 plus fees one of which included a $250 cleaning fee was supposed to go towards them cleaning the home when I leave, that was a waste of my money because Im responsible for cleaning when I move out, that was just money in their pocket. $250 for a "staging" fee for them to hang 6 things on the walls and my $695 refundable deposit. $53.00 was the charge for the credit card terminal that they used to take my money!   Its extorsion when they told me that my "fees" are still due to them knowing they have no right to any of my rent money for this property.

PERPOSTEROUS ALLEGATIONS AND TOTAL DISTORTION OF THE FACTS, PERSONAL VENDETTA CONTINUES, EX-EMPLOYEE REBUTTAL A TOTAL LIE, NO SUCH PERSON...SCURRALOUS DEPICTION OF THE TRUTH! READ ON...

AUTHOR: Owners,Hometenders of America - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, February 24, 2011
This report is vituperatous in nature and is a complete distortion of the truth. This Hometender left her two young children un-attended in the home. This was discovered during a routine inspection of the property. When discovered, the authorizes were called immediately. It was our moral and ethical obligation to do so . We did not want to be responsible for any harm that may befall these children. The police and social services were called to sort out the problem.. She did not like the results and feel we are responsible for her retribution of the matter, thus concocting this fictitious chain of events in retaliation.

We have anywhere between 50-100 homes in our program at any given time ranging in value from $200,000-$8,000,000. That can equate to over a hundred million dollars worth of inventory we are responsible for. How preposterous it is to think that we do not have a legal dept. and lawyers advising us of our legal rights and knowing the laws that pertain to Real
Estate. These statements infer that we just do things willy nilly on a whim, without provocation.

We have VERY strict rules and regulations, and policies and procedures. We have a zero tolerance policy and if not followed the consequences are sever and people are upset. We have a rigorous vetting process, however in the almost five
years we have been in business and over 1000 homes and hometenders in our program in the same amount of time, we have only run across two families who have caused harm to us and have become belligerent. In each case, this being the second one, the Hometender was totally in the wrong, had to deal with consequences that were not to their
liking and feel they want to strike out in retaliation. Again, if there were any truth to the matter, why be anonymous, and why not show proof of these allegations and go to the BBB where a proper investigation could take place? No- instead, these people use these websites where there is no justification, in an effort to to strike out, trump up these charges consisting of lies, a skewed version of the truth, or mis-statements and try and bully businesses for their own personal vindication.

All other postings on this web site have been done by the same family as we have rebutted before. Through a extended savvy research company who is proficient in internet fraud, and deal with unfair situations such as this, we have
uncovered the true identity of these folks even though they use throw away email address and think they can debunk the public. The consequences for their behavior will be severe when all is said and done through the justice system. However, they are in hiding, not being able to be found by the best private investigators, they have 17 lawsuits now pending against them and justice will be served eventually. As stated before, there is no vetting process for sociopathic behavior.

With respect to the rebuttal from an .ex-employee, -total fabrication....we have none. This is another opprobrious accusation, totally false written by the other scandolous family.  Our employees are loyal have been with the company for
over 4 years. We have just added two more to our family of employees now bringing the total to 7 full time and a support staff of 6. Only one employee has left due to retirement and has remained a dear personal friend. Again, anyone,
can write anything without justification and their touts should be taken in consideration of the character of the author and motive behind such scurrilous accusations. They are are less than articulate and have a street like manner of speaking.

In the education that we have received during this horrific witch hunt and internet defamation attempt and speaking with people who are not only victims as we have been, but with people proficient in repairing these situations, we have learned
that 99% of statements written on sights like these are proven false
and penned by usually a sociopathic type person who have too much time on their hands, who are vindictive by nature and never take responsibility for their own actions and want someone else to take the fall. The truth always prevails, and these type of people move on to the next victim of their abhorrent behavior, , unjustly defaming others, and continue on their destructive path through life.

Hometenders of America is not intimidated by nor impacted in the least by vindictive, people and comments of this nature as we know the TRUTH, what we are, the great service we provide, the way we treat people and are not going to alter our processes and procedures to accommodate a minority of two.
.
This is just a sample of the hundreds of testimonials from Homeowners, Realtors and Hometenders whom we have been associated with. This can dispel any concerns anyone may have and see the real TRUTH of what kind of Company we are. Judge for yourself.

TESTIMONALS
“We are happy to be able to inform you that we have gone to contract to sell our home. I am sure that Hometenders was very helpful in contributing to the sale, and we are most grateful. The sale is a cash sale and has been scheduled to close at the buyer's request on March 7th.Thank you very much for all your efforts on our behalf, David and Suzanne Finkel/Homeowner

“HOMETENDERS OF AMERICA MET AND EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS:
Hometenders of America provided piece of mind.  Knowing that our property was occupied, we did not have to worry about crime or unnoticed maintenance issues.  It helped assure our neighbors that we still cared about the greater good by not leaving the property unoccupied.  It saved us between $100-200 per month in utilities and helped us maintain a reasonable insurance rate. The professional staging and
virtual tour would've been an asset if we had needed to attract a buyer.  Overall, our dealing with the Hometender’s staff was courteous, efficient and effective.  Thank you Hometenders.” Doug and Jen Dziedic/Homeowner

”First of all, let me tell you how impressed we are with the decorating and staging of our house.  It looks beautiful - VERY IMPRESSIVE!
! We appreciate your help with our problem and trust that our home will make someone happy and eventually will sell!Hometenders of America located in Scottsdale, AZ, has made my sad empty house a very happy and beautiful occupied house!  They decorated and staged our location and moved a renter in to keep it warm and cozy.  And they did a fabulous job!  We can't believe how gorgeous it looks and how elegant the decorating appears.  It is over the top in
our minds.  Not only is our house happy but this move has saved us about $500.00 a month in utilities and $300.00 a month for landscape and pool care.  In addition, our home insurance went down as well with someone living there by about $200.00 a month. And we were able to discontinue our home warranty at the cost of $55.00 per month because that is now provided by Hometenders.  What a great feeling we have saving well over a thousand dollars a month and knowing we have a happy house that was once sad and forlorn.  Hometenders saved the day for us - they are without a doubt a class act! PLUS I RECEIVED $1000 IN CASH TO BOOT!” Steve & Jan Hildebrand/Homeowner

“GREAT PROGRAM, WONDERFUL BUSINESS MODEL, INTEGRITY PLUS!
I have known the Beziks for many years, starting out being the Realtor on a home they were selling and then helping purchase investment properties and personal homes. When they told me about this program, I was thrilled as we needed something like this in this market. This was in 2007. I
use this program on all my listings. Why wouldn't you? They maintain the property, stage it, and sell it for more than if it were vacant. I love telling my homeowners about this program. Saves them a lot of money!!! John, Cyndee and Barbara and wonderful people and I cannot say enough good things about them. Their heart is in the right place and they are great business people as well. Ask anyone that knows them or their business.”

“We have been in the Hometender program for over 3 years. We move from .house to house as they sell. This is a great program for us as we had some financial challenges and found this a much better solution than conventional renting. We know the drill! I recently had to file for divorce and was not able to afford the home we were living in. Instead of having to move, the Bezik's lowered my fee to a price I could afford!! This was money out of their pocket! Great people that
have your best interest at heart!”

Elissa Bowerman/Hometender “I want to thank you for the great service I received from Hometenders. I am very pleased with the program and hope to use Hometenders again when the housing market improves (whenever that might be). I also
appreciate the advice you have given me and the knowledge you have shared on the housing market both in our conversation this morning and throughout the program. We will be in touch throughout the transition period.” Thanks,
Diane Thompson/Homeowner

“I looked at the home this weekend. What a great job……I am a fan!!!!
I .do credit her decorating and how she interacted with any potential buyers as having had an impact. Prior to her moving in, everyone saw it as a complete remodel but with her decorating it was easy to see it was very livable and comfortable!!! She is a gem!”

“Just a short note to say that Hometenders of America did a great job for us in Scottsdale. You were able to find people who fit within the parameters we asked. In the future, should we need the same service; Hometenders of America will be the company we choose. Thanks again for a job well done.”

Paul Gruskha/Homeowner

“WANT TO STAY IN THE PROGRAM FOREVER! “This is our third house with Hometenders. Love it! Started out in a smaller home that accommodated our furniture, as we accumulated more, they moved us up the ladder accordingly. Now we are in a fabulous house. Love this program. They do whatever they can to help. We surely don't want to rent as we
could never afford this lifestyle. Wonderful program/owners. They also throw the best Christmas parties”

The Winklers/Hometenders

“HomeTenders of America really went above and beyond with my property
….there were only three days in which the home was vacant! The home was quickly occupied and shortly after that it was professionally decorated and staged! I could not have possibly have had this home in shape like HomeTenders did after moving out – this is their business, they are so quick and efficient – even the neighbors were shocked at how quickly everything came together. The HomeTender is
extremely easy to work with and I truly see the benefit of having someone in the home – no worries of any problems associated with an empty home. Saved me over $600 a month at least! I strongly recommend HomeTenders of America!”

Curt Johnson/Realtor

“HomeTenders of America provided an excellent service as I was in the process of trying to sell my Paradise Valley home while located in Southern California.  They saved me several hundred dollars per month in maintenance and utilities as well as giving me the peace of mind that my home was in good hands while I was not in Arizona. The substantial and high quality staging was a large factor in attracting potential ...buyers, and ultimately lead to the sale of the property in a down
market where the competition was tremendous.  HomeTenders provided and excellent service while actually saving me money!"

Jesse
B./Homeowner

“Barbara, Home Tenders is a great service for those who have had to move before a sale of their home has occurred.  Some benefits are:

1-Someone is in the home therefore a security presence.

2-The rooms have furniture which allows a prospective buyer to view the rooms with furniture rather trying to picture their furniture in  the empty home which is not always easy.

3-The home is professionally staged and the virtual tour is great!

4-Some expenses the homeowner had are now taken over by the “Home Tender interim occupant” such as utilities, landscaping and pool maintenance.  This will save us over 600.00 per month! Thanks for the service you provide.”

Tom Larkin/Homeowne

“THEY CAME TO ME!
We are investors and have a house in North Scottsdale. Hometenders of America saw that it was vacant and came to me with a solution. We learned all about their program. We worked with Barbara to get the home up to par. She brought in her vendors and we worked together to get this home in tip top shape in a matter of days. She
pointed out the deficiencies that we overlooked to help get this home sold. They installed a fabulous hometender with beautiful furniture. The home shows like a model. The furnishings and décor items add to the beauty of the home and hides some of the “flaws”. Saving us hundreds of dollars a month. What a great company. Wish we  would have known about this a year ago.”

Mike Gould/Investor-Homeowner

“SAVED MY HOME FROM FORECLOSURE!
“We were upside down in our home. We paid $1.2 million dollars for it with a mortgage of over a million dollars. We were struggling to make the mortgage payments until we were out of money. Our Realtor told us that the home was worth somewhere between $500-600K. We moved out into an apartment, sold our
furniture and were going to let the home go. We heard about Hometenders. They put some great folks in the property. The home sold within 2 months for over $600K! Even the Realtor was shocked. Having the home staged with beautiful furniture definitely made a difference. Saved us from having a Foreclosure on our record. Thanks Hometenders! They care with a community minded approach!”

Cadillac Family/Homeowners

 Great program, Great people.
Why sit with a vacant property when you can have it taken care of, staged and all the utilities, pool and landscaping paid for, plus free virtual tour, home warranty and they pay for the deductible! Used them twice before with much success. Will use them again on all my vacant properties“

Alexander J Mariconda/Realtor
RE/MAX Achievers

“We have a 3 Million Dollar home we custom built for ourselves. Do to extenuating circumstances we were not able to move in. Home was on the market for over 200 days. The carrying costs were overwhelming. We enlisted the services of Hometenders of America. They had a fabulous couple in the property with dynamite furniture. They staged the home to look like a model home. They are paying for pool, .landscaping, all utilities and have eased the burden for us. This
house looks great! Furnishing it makes all the difference. People can visualize how the home should be especially in a high end property. No need to pay for staging that is just another expense. Recommend them highly!”

The Tuckers/Homeowners

“SAVED HOME FROM POTENTIAL DISASTER! We have a brand new $6 Million Dollar 11,000 sq. ft. new build home in Silverleaf. We just had a fantastic caretaker/hometender from Hometenders of America put the home. The builder sent over a fireplace crew to test and light all the fireplaces in the home (there are seven). All of them are gas and have remote starts. The crew finished testing and left. The next day, about 15 hours later, our Home Tender was out in the backyard
checking on the pool with the pool man. He immediately said that he smelled a strong gas smell. They checked the outdoor fireplaces and smelled nothing. They thought it might be a main gas leak coming from the desert as the smell was so strong. After further investigation they went to the guest house and opened the doors and almost passed out. The gas had been left on emitting from that fireplace for over 14 hours! If the house had been vacant, not only would it have blown
up, but likely taken out several other homes in the neighborhood (and maybe even lives). “

Celebrity/Homeowner

“This is my second home in the program. Really a great alternative! Cyndee a.nd Barb are great. Staged my home to look like a model home. They didn't even charge me the second time. Who would want to rent if you can live like this for a fraction of the cost. Use them!”

Jeff Adkins/Hometender

“When I first learned about this program thought it was a typo. Price was too good to be true. After meeting the staff at Hometenders, I was grateful for this program. Just moved here to take a job and knew no one. Thought apartment living would be my destiny. Barbara and Cyndee did go shopping for me and got such cool things, I have never lived like this! Even lent me items I couldn't afford to buy free of charge. They go the extra mile. So impressed I am working with them
on a part time basis to help with marketing! Great Company!”

Marc

“Hands down, the most professionally run program of its type in AZ.”

Leslie McCarver/Realtor
TheWalt Danley Group, Coldwell Banker

“Any Realtor that has a vacant home and doesn't use this program is doing their seller a dis-service. This is a win-win program. You cannot compare the value of a home that is vacant and one that is beautifully staged not to mention the financial pressure it takes off the clients for carrying the property. Use the program...it works”

Carolyn Lane/Realtor/Broker
HomeSmart, Constable-Arcadia Biltmore District

“Who wouldn't want to use this company? HOA provides a great service for sellers and their Realtors,
in that they stage the property and keep it secure. New Home Builders spend a fortune “dressing up” their models, with Hometenders of America the seller gets this for FREE and even has their utilities and landscape and pool service paid for. It is a win-win proposition, and I encourage all of my vacant property sellers to use them!”

“ONE DAY AND THREE SHOWINGS LATER!!!!”
“As a Top Producer with Re/Max Achievers, anyone not using Hometenders of
America need to rethink their strategy! Their program is very upscale in professionalism, and these ladies know what it takes to help SELL our listings. I personally can tell you that after picking up a listing from an Agent who had it on the market for over a year with NO CONTRACTS, that within ONE DAY of staging and 3 showings later I had an Offer in hand. This is a NO BRAINER....the Seller signs a contract and Hometenders will find a great “Tender” to live in their home and take excellent care of it. Agents only need to give a 15 minute notice to show the home and it will show model perfect. The
home is well maintained, yards and pool are taken care of regularly with no cost to the seller. I've not met any two women more dedicated to making this a win-win for everyone. Tell all your Agent friends to jump on this win-win and let's sell more homes. ..we can't loose with their help!!”

Lori Wegner/Realtor

“Fantastic idea, fantastic results, very professionally run company. Finally something good to hear about in this depressing market. My clients love the program and I would recommend it to all Realtors.”

Larry Siferd/Realtor
Sonoran Properties GMAC

“Great program & professionally run.
It eases the holding costs of a vacant home and also gives you peace of mind to know that your home is being monitored and taken care of. Great idea. I don't understand why you don't have a thousand homes in your program. What's the downside? I don't see it.”

Bo Lane
Homeowner EB Lane Advertising and PR-Phoenix Country Club

“My house sat vacant for over a year. We were drowning with the carrying costs. We had little to no interest in the property. It had a few layout flaws which were evident. Lowering the price was not the answer. We heard about Hometenders of America on the news. We had our Realtor call and put our home in the program. Hometenders of America
found a great couple to move in and with the help of their professional stagers made the home look beautiful and the flaws less obvious. Within 2 months we had the home sold. This program is a win-win and don't know why there are any vacant homes around. Who wouldn't use this program?”

Don

Pebbles/Homeowner

“Great program...love it! My wife and I lost a million dollar home to a short sale. Our choices were living in a two bedroom apartment with half our furniture in storage or becoming a Hometender. We chose hometending and now we're
living in a gorgeous home at the Biltmore for the same price as an apartment with all our furniture. This is our third home in the program. The designers staged the home to be show ready and we know the drill to keep it that way. We will stay in the program until we're ready to buy again.”
