I was wrongfully terminated through e-mail by my employer who claims to have had so many complaints by customers at both of her stores, however she did not address the complaints with me and the termination e-mail she sent me at 10:30 pm on August 23, 2014 was the first I had ever heard of the complaints. There was no formal coaching or write-up given at all.

She also didn't pay me correctly. I had to do the math on all of my paychecks to make sure that she gave me the full wages I had worked for and every time, the checks came up short. I later found out that she was taking wages out for lunches when there were two employees on duty although when she hired me, she told me that I would be receiving paid lunches, but she didn't tell anyone about it, nor did she have a system for employees to clock in and out. I usually had to work in between bites even when there was another employee on duty to take care of customers while I ate. Her scheduling and payroll systems worked around a Gmail account that she had created for the two stores, whatever hours she had you scheduled as, she paid you for, but if you had to stay late for any reason, you had to contact her somehow and let her know, which was difficult because she almost never answered her phone or text messages. However, when I would let her know that I had to stay late, she always "forgot" to add the time to my payroll hours and she would promise it to me on my next paycheck but it would never be there. She also took money out of my paycheck because she had given me some to replace a customer's item and had me promise to pay her back when I got paid again. I told her I would, but when I recieved my check a couple of days later, she had already taken the liberty of taking the money out and then some, which she again promised to add to the next check, but again, was not there.

She allowed a customer to get in my face and call me a fat a*s and tell me to go to hell for the mistake of another employee. She simply agreed with him that I was in the wrong and apologized although I had done everything I possibly could have to help him and told me that she would have handled the situation the same way.

I also watched her notarize her own papers with the notary stamp of another employee (who was not at the store) and forged the employee's signature then encouraged me to do so as well because I had left my notary stamp at the other store. Knowing that this was against the law, I put the stamp away and told her I was not going to do that. To which her husband replied, "Well you need to start bringing your stamp with you everywhere because we paid a lot of money for you to have it."

Another employee informed me that my employer told her that if she wanted to go to school, she needed to do it on her own time and that the job comes first. That being said, when I registered for classes for this semester, I had to tailor my entire schedule around her and I am now taking two online classes that aren't even required for my degree so that I could do them at work like she promised me I could. However, I was looking into what I would need for my classes and trying to read the syllabi for them when she walked into the store yelling for me to get off of the computer and stop doing personal work.

She also watched the security cameras like a hawk and if a customer was kept waiting for any reason or any length of time, whether the systems were down for 2 hours or someone was in the bathroom for 2 minutes, the store would immediately receive a phone call asking what was going on. However, when she's at the stores and there is a line, she doesn't get up to help at all.

This is by far the most unprofessional job I have ever had, she is irresponsible with managing the time sheet, payroll, her employees, and her customers. I have never been so disrespected in one place in my entire life.
