If you're looking for Honda parts, you might want to protect yourself and bypass Honda of the Ozarks in Springfield, MO!  I was shocked to find out that they charged me $92.99 for a part that retails for $23.92.  You can buy this part, an angle sensor, all day online for $15.79.  Google it if you want.  The part number is 38800-HP0-A11.  I figured I'd be charged retail, but 4 times retail?  Come on, guys!  If you're in that bad of financial trouble, you might consider hanging up your hat now.  Ripping off local, loyal consumers will only hurt your reputation and cost you sales.

Admitting you Ripped Me OFF!

AUTHOR: SPFNative - ()

That was the most ignorant thing I've ever heard a representative of a "brick and mortar" dealership say.  Basically, what you're admitting to is RIPPING OFF consumers.  And, you just encouraged me to order ALL of my parts online now.  I called two other Honda dealers in the state, and one Powerhouse dealership in Arkansas and they ALL three agreed I got price-gouged.  Two dealers even said they've heard similar complaints about Honda of the Ozarks.  I guess you're not much different that Pro Cycle really.  And, obviously, Pro Cycle is no longer in business and got sued by the Attorney General.  My next report is going there (attorney general).

They(all three dealers) would have sold me the same part, happily, for RETAIL which is slightly over $21.00.   You will be exposed.

QUIT RIPPING PEOPLE OFF, Honda of the Ozarks!

Youre the unfair one..

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

You bash a retail business because they charged you retail. You do realize that there are two different price structure correct? Online can offer a much lower price because they DO NOT have the same overhead as a brick and mortar store. This means what you are doing is HIGHLY unfair. A better price comparison would be to check and see if its the same price or a similar price as a COMPETEING RETAIL STORE. To bash them because YOU were charged retail price AT a retail store is rude and ignorant.

When you order the part or item through a RETAIL outlet, you have a GREATER chance of getting the part you need. When you order it online you have to wait longer and then if it is the wrong part YOU eat the return costs and have to wait longer. Plus you do not know for sure if the part youre going to get is a actual OEM or some cheap trash part until you get it. Then even if its the right piece and it turns out to be crap youre stuck with it.

There are a TON of drawbacks to online ordering. With ALL of the fraud that is reported on this site alone dealing with online shopping, why would you risk something as important as a car part. A book or another small item I could understand, but something as important as a car part, wouldnt you want the professionals to order it?
