Hope4Home Scammed Mira Loma California

In May, 2015, we were contacted by Hope4Home stating that they had worked out a modification through with our mortgage company. We were told that to complete the process, we needed two payments in the amount of our new lower payment be put in a trust to complete the process. After the payments were submitted we would receive our modification paperwork. They stated that in order to get the modification approved they had submitted the two payments for us but it needed to be replaced with our own money as a guarantee for us, but they would not use their company money. Being in a desperate situation, we allowed them to draft our checking account in the amount of 2714.66 dollars. After they received the money, we never received our modification paperwork. We contacted hope4home and they said the file had been inactivated. We requested a refund but as of now, we still haven't received a refund after several requests written and orally. This place is a rip off and take advantage of homeowners in distress.

Everyone who has a complaint against this should contact consumerfinance.gov and make a complaint. I have already submitted a complaint but they need to hear from others to substantiate a reason to go after this company and hopefully close it down and have them to refund money to those they have scammed. The more complaints they receive the better. You can go to the websited for consumerfinance.gov and submit a complaint online very simply.
