First I'll admit my own faults, I am a debtor, Hosto sued me a year or so ago and I still failed to make payments as I was unemployed. I've since found gainful employment, and without warning my bank account was frozen and seized.

I immediately contacted Hosto and spoke with Erin in accounts resolution(may not be spelled correctly). Not only was she ditsy and aloof throughout the conversation, she was totally uprepared and could offer little to no information about the garnishment. I found out far more by speaking with a manager at my bank than I did with this d**n company's staff. Anyways, I set up a payment plan with Erina and made my first payment as agreed.

I, admittedly, did miss my next payment, my dad had a heart attack. I knew I was behind and last Friday(03/28/14) my next payment was due again and I was prepared to get it all caught up. That's when my bank manager called me early that morning to tell me once again my account had been garnished, every last cent.

I once again called account resolutions and spoke with an agent(I wanna say tony or david). He was condescending and told me that Erin had tried to call me on March 11, and that there was nothing he could do to assist me any further.

Well, I opened up my cell phone call history and followed up with every number I didn't recognize that had called me. Nope, never called. I even logged into the website and Erin had misspelled my email address. Since then I've called over a dozen times trying to get in touch with anyone who can help me. I've been transferred to voicemails EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've left voicemails with cell # and email address requesting contact and no one has done so.

This company's prerogative is very clear, offer just enough assistance to stay legal and utilize every angle to take the debt forcefully. Terrible customer service, staff is highly uneducated in regards to garnishment/collection process. Highly negligent in regards to following up with debtors who are trying to resolve debt issues. They need to be taken to task for bullying debtors like myself.

It wasn't two months, it was a couple weeks shy. I was full and prepared to catch it all up. My grievance is the methodology in which they handled the situation. No follow up whatsoever, my email address on file was misspelled, no one seemed to give the least amount of care to wanting to actually resolve this in a civil manner. THAT is my issue, a simple phone call or email from them could've cleared up this entire headache.

So as a title says, maybe next time pull your judgemental head out of your a*s and then respond before spewing BS. Soon after I posted this, I was magically able to get through to Erin and I'm back on a payment plan. That was the entire goal. I'm ready to pay off my debts, I just need this company to be professional and not act like the gestapo. We'll see how it goes.

Very similar thing happened to me

I have been done in a similar situation by this horrible debt collecting group. There are several ripoff reports on here and we all share the same story. I don't know if there is a way we could contact each other about pursuing a group lawsuit against this company. It seems they attack hard working people by wage garnishment without any prior notification. I have gotten a writ of garnishment unknowing that a judgement was even entered against me from a debt well over 6 years ago. I have gotten no correspondence and no phone calls, nothing whatsoever until a writ of garnishment shows up. I cannot survive on what they are holding out of my checks. I barely make over minimum wage as a state employee and I cannot live with the wage garnishment. Had they contacted me to work out payment plan, I would have done what I could and made monthly payments. But now I have been embarssed with wage garnishment. I have had severe anxiety and depression wondering how I am going to take care of my family and pay my bills.. If there is someway we can communicate on this,I would really appreciate it and from what I have read and asked people in the know, this company does not follow proper law on debt collection.

Sincerely,

Shannon Gasaway

You defaulted, were garnisheed and they were generous enough to set up a payment plan and remove the garnishment...right?

Then TWO MONTHS later, you don't make your payment as agreed..also right?

They your suddenly surprised, dumfounde and amazed that they garinsheed you again..How am I doing so far?

This is a TOTALLY STUPID statement.  They have a right to collect what YOU owe them and are doing such a "great" job of repaying YOUR just debts..idiot!

NO CREDITOR HAS TO OFFER YOU ASSISTANCE!
